Why aren't you investing in oil companies for $200+/barrel prices about to come?

US only has enough reserves to keep price control for 1-2 more months at current rates. Meaning the US is headed into winter with no oil reserves.

Nothing burger.
Oil production is on par with demand and growing. The reserves won't run out.
Time to short oil companies

I don't want to invest in oil I want to buy a tokenized barrel of oil that interacts with the markets.
Basically I want to invest in fossil fuels without having to lug a big heavy barrel around everywhere I go. Any suggestions?

Don't oil prices fall during a recession, as consumption reduces?

What happens when the recession is due to the cost of energy being way too high? In that case it wouldn't go down it would stay high because it would be the catalyst.

Yes, oil will probably go much higher sometime relatively soon, but not because of the SPR. The whole SPR is actually only a few day's supply, so anything that happens to it doesn't have much effect on the price.

I invested in oil back in 2020 and all the easy money has already been made.
At this point I'm 50% cash waiting for the collapse to happen so I can buy all sorts of cheapies before the next dollar devaluation happens.
