>wageslaving until the end of the tax year instead of adding a few more months for the lower tax rate, or a few less months, for avoiding the high tax rate

What are you gonna do after you stop working? I'm 75% sure I'll quit working full time in 2024 if my net worth goes past $5 million.

Based, good for you OP. I quit back in June and I'm getting just'd by the markets but I have enough cash set aside to do what I want anyway. I can wait for a recovery.

Personally I retired with about a half mil net worth and I'm touring Europe for the next year. It's really not that expensive if you're visiting long term instead of getting a hotel for just two weeks. My first goal is seeing all of Italy.

I wouldn't label myself a consoomer but I'm not trying to retire early and live off pennies for the rest of my life. I want to always be able to afford nicer things and potentially settle down to start a family in the future. Otherwise, I would've cashed out and stopped working by now.

It's different for everyone. I'm in my early 30s and want to get this traveling done before I'm too old to really enjoy it. I feel like I'm cutting it close as it is and I wasted my 20s working to pay off debt and stack sats, so now I'm trying to enjoy it.

Just don't forget that more money can't buy you youth. You can be a healthy 40 year old but youth wise you'll always be mogged by the young (not fats).

I've traveled to 7 countries since my mid 20s and I'm 33 now. I also used to go to music festivals around the country before the pandemic hit. You don't need to wait until your 30s to have fun in life.

Meh, I was starting from less than zero. I'll make up for lost time quickly. Just didn't want to let you waste your life stacking cash to finally start spending it in your 50s.
