I just realized that I'm giving 37% of my income to the government. And above 70K it's 50%. How's that fair and how did we agree with it? Literally HALF of your work is taxed. So if you work 8 hours, 4 hours you are working for the government

No no. First, you're working for a group of investors in the company that you work for. They're profiting from your labor. That goes right into their pocket. Then you get taxed. Those taxes go, largely, into services that benefit you. So you're getting something back from what you're being taxed. Is that taxes for public services part perfect? No. But you're not focusing on the right group.

Stop drinking the libertarian juice. The greedy corporate parasites you work for are fucking you harder than the government that taxes you but turns around and provides social services that ultimately benefit you. The first is just parasitism. The second is a sometimes functional, sometimes flawed arrangement.
