the IOTA foundation token Miota (1.000.000 iota as statoshis for Btc think Mega iota, then if you have a thousand: giga iota etc..) and it's network the Tangle became recently the most energy efficient protocol ever built and by a looooong shot! Here is a great infographics hat illiustrate this in a fun a easy to understand way.
Basically if we compare to bitcoin it is 600 billions time more efficient electrictiy wise. (you can also argue that IOTA doesn't require miners so there is no fees nor a huge amount of eWaste or heat produced)

the second closest greenest today is still astronomically more expensive to run than IOTA. basically to provide power to 1 trillion transaction on Hedera it would cost near $1.5 million and only in the 1000 dollars ball park on IOTA.
Taking into account the amount of transaction can and will handle per seconds due to the tangle architecture,to have one transaction go through you need to perform PoW on 2 up to 10 other transaction, the more people are using the network the faster it gets!

Well there is no catch really. It does take a long time to build it. It might be done end of 2023 or during 2024. Good thing is someone who knows that governement and industry want respectively a green solution, and save money.
Companies can save up so much money using IOTA that is why there is so many for profit companies looking at it, collaborating or full on partnered with it. Because investing time and money in helping the foundation could be for them a god sent! and for many it already is!

For investor who loves to be first or like high risk high reward, IOTA represent a dirt cheap entry ticket and a million mile high reward.

IOTA is rarely discussed here and if a thread is made it gets barely any attention. Someone posts a copypaste about how it’s a shity project made by grifters, some questions get asked and stay unanswered and the thread dies until another one is made 3 weeks later. Somehow this is the second on up right now. IOTA didn’t reach near its ATH from 2017 this bullrun which is anything but promising. I guess there are a lot of people holding heavy bags, me included and probably OP as well. I don’t know if it’s even worth DCAing down at this point.
