Oh shit, NVM. They actually did go public, recently. I wonder how much this IPO will sell off. Gonna have to read their balance sheet as well.

Get asked this sometimes; what's your allocation ratio. It's tilted very much in favor of stocks v.s the SWPPX fund. Reason for this is due to my 401k. It's pure S&P 500. So little point in having another fat one. My 401k though does have this little loophole. My vacation time can be used as a mega boost load when I go to retire. So instead of getting taxed for the payout I can simply roll that money into my 401k. Avoid the tax hit, boost my 401k, hey what's not to like..Vacation time rolls up over the years to. 20 years in = 2 days earned each month plus paid holidays off. Retire at age 54. Roll in the mega load of vacation time. Let it all just grow fatter till I turn 72 (you gotta start taking money out at 72). (Got round $10,000 worth of time and I still got uh 14 years to go so yeah there will be round $20,000 if not more of free boost money waiting for me)

Alright kiddo, Monetary Policy.
So the US has a central bank, the federal reserve, they set base interest rates and lately use a tool called Quantitative Easing when interest rates is not enough to bring inflation to the desired levels (around 2%). So when the pandemic crisis kicked in hard, Trump demanded the fed to intervene and stop the collapse taking place, the fed went on at took interest rates to practialy 0% and bought 4 trillion dollars in assets with fresh printed money, now take note that at this point interest rates were already at 1.7% which was already incredibly low, and they already held 3 trillion dollars in their balance sheet.
Well that money was put to good use in ALL risk assets and with interest rates at such levels a whole lot of new debt was issued. Of course now since production was absolutely destroyed by the pandemic this created a massive unbalance with the newly created demand for everything. Inflation ++++++
Add to that the proxy wars taking place between Russia and potentially China and well you now also have deglobalizarion inflation taking place.
So now that inflation is sky high the fed has to use its tools to decrease it, and sadly the only tools they have is to increase interest rates making loans more expensive and Quantitative Tightening which pretty much means destroying dollars by letting the assets they bought mature or down right selling them.
Cheers.
