I can only speak for myself; My clients (large businesses) have always paid on time, my friends or family who have borrowed money have always paid it back as soon as they could. I even know a guy who was a gambling addict who reimbursed me months after I arranged an uber ride & a hotel so he wouldn't be homeless, but I knew he was a good guy. People generally hate debts, and try to get out of them and get their bills paid as soon as they can & handle things responsible. That doesn't mean everyone can be trusted with money though.
