I begin to hate this. It is almost a failure as a project. It promises zero privacy, meaning even a child porn addict freak can trace your payment history because it depends on a public ledger by design. Satoshi tried to fix it, suggested the use of a new address every time so at least Bitcoin network would provide a tiny bit of privacy due to pseudonimity but because of chainalysis and the shit load of information usage of Bitcoin leaks all of the addresses can eventually be tied to each other, it practically offers no privacy at all, and this means no censorship resistance. Anyone can blacklist an address and if you move it around it will forever be tied to that blacklisted address, practically meaning it will forever be tainted and unusable.

As a payment methos it fails miserably as everyone is by now aware of. Takes ten minutes at least and up to hours for a transaction to be confirmed. Instant payment solutions in the form layer 2, after more than a decade Bitcoin has been alive, is not here. Lightning network is a mess to configure if you want a trust minimized set up and if yiu just want something that works out of the box you need to use a wallet app that depends on a centralized setup.

And worst part is now is that no change towards solving any of the problems I mentioned is really possible. there already are solutions to make it more private and scalable but it never can be deployed because majority of the people who use it only is in it for the price manipulation. They don't want it to work as a censorship resistant digital currency, they only want the price to go up. As it stands using Bitcoin to pay for anything is retarded. You cannot even use Bitcoin as money or a private bank account.

if you did 2 hours of research in 2016 you could have figured this out a long time ago, bitcoin is an embarrassingly slow and useless payment technology and was clearly in a speculative bubble, this crash is completely justified and I don't see why you need to have an emotional attachment to a chuck e cheese token, if you really want the features you talked about use monero or try and build something new
