I'm having surgery (pic somewhat related) and it means I have to dip into my savings to pay for it.

Do I take a loan or sell my assets? Which is smarter?

Wait for the hospital bill.. you do have health insurance for something MAJOR like this, right???? Negotiate with the hospital. Could result in 2/3s off the bill if you have major documented hardships.
1) cashflow it - cutback massively if necessary
2) savings/checkings
3)
4)
5) sell assets after all assets have taken it on the fucking chin..... sell lowest tax lots first.

Hopefully they will. I tech has made leaps and bounds in the past century. The main barrier is being able to adequately supply power to robotic limbs.

In any case, the ability to regenerate limbs is elusive but theoretically right around the corner. The body has the ability to regenerate lost limbs, but post-natally, the human body defaults to closing wounds via scarring rather than regrowing limbs (there are evolutionary reasons for this). It is simply a matter of tricking the body to not close wounds with scar tissue.

Do you have any idea how easy forklift certification is? Your employer goes to a short class to become a forklift certifier and then he shows you a power point slide show for 2 hours and you get a forklift card good for 3 years.

if i remember correctly this kid was in a major car accident. he was fine when the first responders found him but on the way to the hospital the paramedics meant to give him oxygen but accidentally gave him nerve gas.
