The market is too forward looking for its own good.

In the past, inflation went "down" but established a new much higher peak a couple years later. It's better to see it come down all the way, and stay down. Everyone seems to be basing their trades on this being the "one and only peak" while trying to find its inflection point which is simply not possible or logical.

Shadow stats gives the 1980 calculation which is probably pretty accurate.
Amazon pricing is a horrible way to measure. It's scam central and Amazon is taking massive fees and the quality of everything goes down constantly.
