I've had good luck buying 2-3 gen old Sony xperia's (their top range line only) for about $100-200 each. Phone advancements have slowed so you don't need current gen phones anymore, things like build quality, screen quality, etc. are more important now IMO. That said, I finally tried out an iphone again and there's a lot of non-technical stuff they just do better (better reception, better screen, better battery life, etc.) iphone is a good way to get something that is generally good in all regards without spending time researching your next phone purchase. I still prefer my old phone for a lot of things but it's definitely inferior in many ways hardware-wise. When it comes to the software stack, android is still built on linux, so it's still a buggy, spaghetti code mess of an OS.

Global versions have zero ads and they have a "Second Space" feature you can access, like the Windows sessions.

You can have your personal shit on one and your work stuff in the other. It makes a separate system partition so apps, pictures and everything is separated. It's basically like having 2 phones. You can configure it as to access work space with your left thumb and the personal one with the right. Or different patterns. It's a neat feature IMO.

They also have double sim tray.

I'm still rocking a Mi 9T Pro since 2019 and the phone is as snappy as day one. Will switch if there's a new phone with no punch hole as I got used to the fullscreen.SZVR8R
