Chicken thighs will always be cheap because it's dark meat. For some reason everyone outside of the poorest of niggers avoid dark meat. I used to make the most delicious bone in chicken thighs. You can pull off the same tactic with stocks as well, it is just harder to do it as successfully. In the stock world, we have stocks that provide income, and stocks that appreciate in value with very few doing both exceptionally. And there is no way to add value to your holdings through personal sweat equity. But taking out a loan to buy stocks doesnt always work. in investing its called taking a margin loan and you can buy more shares with it. lots of people do it, but in the current stock market theres wild swings and its easy to lose money. personally i wouldnt use margin as its not super necessary for longterm wealth creation.

i dont think so. its why uranium is such a good play. JPow can heem the economy into the ground and oil will undoubtedly be hit as the global growth weakens, but uranium is used to produce electricity for homes, and that is a demand that is consistent and inelastic. there's also no JPMorgan in the sector trying to manipulate prices like silver. Theres no cartel like OPEC shocking markets with cuts. the one player in the sector: Sprott is simply buying spare inventory. The sector is tiny, and incredibly cheap in relation to stocks and other commodities like oil and gold. The uranium sector seems to have a correlation to XLE and the broad market. Sometimes when SP500 is down, uranium is down even more. And when energy is hit hard, uranium is down too. So I think uranium stocks would be hit in the short term if oil got hit hard.

Someone explain this to me. Let's say you sell a put credit spread and the short leg goes ITM while the long leg remains OTM (i.e. the stock's price is between the strike prices). What happens if the buyer decides to exercise early? Wouldn't you have a massive margin call and the long put you bought as safety be useless? It's an interesting question. IMO two major reasons:

A) They've been hoping it would draw some goldbugs away from gold by being "digital gold", which it might have done marginally at the retail level. They wanted this because gold going up is a problem for the bond market so anything that diverts attention away is good. Anyway it doesn't matter because crypto is clearly traded as fin-tech growth and gambling, the very antithesis of something bond and commodity correlated like gold.

B) They generally perceive that crypto might be the next "big thing" like the internet and are afraid of squashing a potentially big industry or giving advantage to other countries. Ofc this is also bullshit and crypto has one and only one use case which is doing illegal shit with money, as this is the only scenario with a lack of a trusted third party that requires a distributed ledger.

To give credit where due: crypto shills have been very savvy about pushing both of these narratives, which are well designed to simultaneously dazzle dumb retail money and to give regulators pause on crushing it. This has allowed them space to run countless scams and ponzi schemes unchecked. It's really been a feeding frenzy for lowlifes sucking retail idiots dry. As it's becoming more obvious there's not much redeeming value in the space you're seeing the regulatory vice start to squeeze.

IMO tether will go pop under the strain of continued QT and rate hikes. It'll probably mark the bottom actually.
