>thread splitting chaos
Alright, let me clearly spell out site rules for you redditors
Sometimes, a topic gets a general thread because people wanna talk about the same topic over and over. Usually just whoever is around near the bump limit “bakes” a thread. But to do this, you must announce that you are “baking.” This way, no one else makes a thread and thread splits.
For /GME/, usually just one autistic man bakes, so we largely skip this custom. Here, we usually just wait until we see the one guy post his usual line. He also has a bonus OP post he puts under the main OP, so that’s another way to check if it’s him
Now, it’s ok to be the one to bake a new thread. It doesn’t have to be that one guy. But you should 1.announce your intention to do so well in advance to see if the autist will let you 2. Respect tradition and don’t fuck with the OP 3. If you fuck something up, politely let your thread die or even delete it yourself
Now, look at the recent thread splits this week. They don’t follow any of that. THATS how we can immediately avoid those shitholes. It’s not that no one else can bake, it’s that you so blatantly just want to ruin threads. You don’t want to bake because you like GME, you want to bake so you can fuck it all up, and maybe even delete the thread halfway through.
Nope, we will never fucking fall for it. Say what you want about the degenerate autists who have made these threads way too much of their life, they cannot be tricked into deviating from the norm.
So just stop trying to thread split. It’s never going to work, and it’s already grown old. Please just try some new shill tactic
