I was about to expand on pic related, then realized 35/1750 (gold standard price versus a convenient modern price to yield a round factor number: 50) could be applied to any object. It would be silly to convert/list everything when anyone can do that for themself. So I did a Goggle search for "Sears Catalog archive pdf" and got some hits for 1918 and 1948. Multiply the listed price by 50, and you've got today's equivalent.

This image is unbelievably based. One of the adjustments being made by 'late stage capitalism' is the desire to have people work to merely rent out their existence. Rent your gym. Rent your music. Rent your media. It is nonstop subscriptions even going so far as to have people renting out their "heated seats" that exists in the very cars they buy.
You used to be able to buy single songs for $.99 each. They quickly learned that after buying 100 or so songs, most people stop buying music because they only really listen to it while they are driving. So if you buy your fill, pick your favorites, and never buy new music, you never have to spend money again. Whereas subscription cucks now spend $1200 over the course of a decade just for music.
The younger you are the more you can leverage these consumer purchases into investments. Buying gym equipment saves me $200 a year in memberships. Owning CDs and buying used ones saves me $120 per year in subscriptions. Owning DVDs and refusing to pay subscriptions saves me another $120minimum. And not only that, the money you are saving can be spent acquiring new music and movies. And you can hand-pick the best there is. Amazon sells cheap, used copies. Half priced books has cheap, used everything. It's a buyers market and saving the cash on a month to month basis gives you more money to invest on other things,

Yeah the prices went up, but so did the wages, so everyone was even-steven in the end. But after the 60's when they removed the last vestiges of sound money, everything went to shit, because the usurious bankers were completely unleashed and free to do as they wish. And it will only get worse if they're allowed to implement their CBDC slavery system.

thinking about that jewish holiday thing,
and if they do this every 7 years, and if:
>we take something like politics - elections every 5 years,
> >and the first nice number we come across is 35 for the
> > 7
>i mean by this every 7 political party elections, there this holiday too
>(a good side note is that this affects all countries, because before we get to 35, there are not-nice numbers, which will sort of "add up" to let them all eventually get to 35, if you know what i do mean - but this isnt very important. its just interesting, if you understand)
so this means that every SEVEN times SEVEN years has passed this affects a country like america

i just wanted to say that, because an anon before said that every 7 years "something" happens, when i think that it would be every 35, in my opinion. and do note that extra note
i also like the "schizo tier" patterns (im not schizophrenic (lie))

i also dont understand what would be stopping a piece of bread in "silver economy land" costing 2 dollars (each) or a 1oz silver coin, 33g. but that is why, probably, britan uses "pounds" as in 33 pounds of silver is, like, 15 grams(?)

Have you ever or would you ever tip someone with silver?

There’s a bar down my block that I like, good regulars, good bartenders, chill vibe. Anyway, not unusual for me to rack up a high tab while I’m there. Is it appropriate to tip someone with say a silver American Eagle on something like a $100 tab? I mean that works out to approximately a 20% tip.

I’m just worried that they won’t get it, think I’m giving them fake money as a tip, or just look at it and assume the face value of $1 is the entire tip and then get pissy. People are such NPCs I wouldn’t be at all surprised.

I think it’s a unique tip. Also they don’t have to record cash tips for taxes, so that’s kind of extra nice. Anyway, I want to try this.

It's probably fine to do, just say something like "hey, I forgot to bring more cash, but I've got this silver on me, it's worth about 30 bucks, hang onto it or make sure to sell it to a dealer". They'll likely appreciate the gesture. Just make sure they understand it has actual value and isn't just a token or something. I've only ever given someone silver as payment once.

but my theory is that theyre still selling off their own personal silver that theyve put in the bank. none of them (yet) are selling to below the line where it started for them, the initial amount of silver in the bank or vault otherwise which was put there to get started with. they will get rid of this silver to profit, then make the silver price lower (maybe even to a few dollars) and pick it back up to start again from there
i used to do this a lot in runescape to change prices (but i had a big help)

the price going back up is never that much in an amount, for the price not to be way lower than it was, to then buy back ones own - say silver
it also starts to get weird and the money and silver has to be seen as one thing which is both (all) yours to justify it and make it profit
but theyre "moving" this silver as selling it, their own, to buy back later. and the initial amount of silver that was put into the vaults/bank vaults is still there, which is probably not even theirs

The prices are fake and you won't see price appreciation until shit truly breaks down. The banks are trying to feed you and I bouts of inflation. They don't want us exiting the room before they are done. Once we can't handle it and the masses are tapped out they are going to pull the plug.

I feel it too. I want to buy up some dividend stocks, but deep down I know this is going to be a stupid move. Luckily I have a decent sized stack so I am not completely missing the boat. I disagree with this sentiment. The bond market is literally twice the size of the GDP and I think that fake glut of "value" soaks up an immense amount of purchasing power. People's wealth would otherwise be buying up other goods, services, commodities. But instead it sits in financial paper. I think this financial industry is going to have some serious existential problems and the end result is the cash will have to be undermined to prop up overleveraged values. Hence the whole world collectively eats massive chunks of losses.

There were families in Germany who held the same coins over empires, republics, dictatorships, fascism, communism, and democracy. my schizo theory is that the jews sell to black rappers big, expensive gre-t gold chains with diamonds in them because the bigger they the chains are, the more holes they can cut in there, to collect lots of gold trimmings for keeps and for that to be off-the-books. just get rid of lots of gold as big chains, big holes in them, sell the chains at a profit desu, because why not - then there is a "chain market" where they buy/sell and take back from the dead rappers but they also get a leg-up in the gold off-cuts they collect. those would be the most valuable part and what would be traded the most - maybe as a fiat-backed preciousmetal

Not everyone has every item you could ever want at any given time. The human race has used units of account forever, PM's will obviously not be the only system to barter illegally, other things will work too, drugs, or guns, or a million different items. But the idea that suddenly NO ONE on earth will value gold and silver after 10,000 years is ridiculous. Black markets have always and will always exist, and humans will always use the most reliable unit of account they can find outside the system to do business, that system will likely revert back to gold and silver if cash is no longer available.

Not a single currency, each country will have its own centralized digital currency and governments will have absolute control over it. Then comes the UBI, and money stops being money and becomes a limited allowance of how much you can have and spend each month, and everything will be sold as a service and rented. You will own nothing and be happy.

Listen up, dipshit: hard times are coming whether you make preparations or not. Being a compliant, hand-wringing little worm will not save you. When I was in 3rd grade in the 1990s I went to the monthly flea market with my dad and found a guy there selling bags of pre-ww2 foreign coins (including silver) for $1 each and old banknotes for 5 cents each, I hoovered up as much as I could with my limited resources. I learned quite early the difference between practically worthless paper, like the 1912 500 Ruble note, and the value of 500 silver Rubles which would have been 10 kilograms of .900 silver. Sooner or later cash always becomes trash but silver and gold always hold value.

Because Catholicism is nothing more than an ancient Babylonian mystery religion with a Christian makeover surrounding it.
Let me make this simple, there is nothing biblical about the Rosary, there is nothing biblical about the worship of the Virgin Mary, there is nothing biblical about the concept about confession, there is nothing biblical about the Eucharist, there is nothing biblical about the body and blood of Jesus with the bread and wine, there is nothing biblical about the worship of saints, there is nothing biblical about the entire structure of the Catholic church itself.
All of these practices and much more that you find in Catholicism compared to any other Christian denomination originated from a time when the Romans still used to worship their own gods and Constantine the Great just managed to re-appropriate these practices into a newly emerging Christian religion that was way too prevalent within the Empire at the time to keep illegal forever.

Red Seal US Dollars (US Notes)
The red seal dollars are an interesting fare. They were started during the Civil War and were in production for about one hundred years, making them one of the longest produced notes next to the dollar produced by the Federal Reserve. These notes were actual pieces on national debt. Which means they were direct obligations by the US government and that the individual who had them owned a piece of the national debt. These notes went out of circulation in the 1960s and were removed as legal tender in the mid ’90s but are still spendable currency.

You'd be paying a fairly large premiun. You have to ask yourself, "Why am I buying this?" If it's because you really like the design, any price may be okay with you. The full ounce of this coin also costs $2700, so getting this would be a way of getting the design for 'cheap'. Being a numismatic piece, it will probably hold its value, but that's speculation.
If you just want to stack, it's a pricey way to do it. But that numismatic element might bring you to come out ahead.

I've been recently interested in invest in silver to have some kind of self made insurance in my old age or something like that. My parents receive less than 100 dollars a month with the retirement money of both.. Is quite hard enough to me to earn and save the money and buying online would add more to my expenses.

Numbers seem right, but:
$0.015 is 1.5 cents, not less than one cent.
Should specify (though assumed) pounds avdp.

One note: The industrialized production of silver has allowed the value of silver to drop in real terms. I'm not sure it's quite fair to make direct comparisons so far back into history.
