Does the American dream still exist for the average young American in today's time?

There are more ways to make money now than there ever has been. Today a complete nerd with zero social skills can become a millionare from their bedroom. Back in the day if you wanted to make serious money you had to learn sales skills and actually put yourself out there. So i'd argue it's never been easier to make money and the American dream is alive and well for that reason. Don't fall into the trap of going to college just for the sake of it. If you're gonna go do a worthwhile STEM degree if not you can learn all that shit online for free.

The dream has now become working two jobs, to be able to afford rent with 3 other people in a single apartment, AND buy a PS5. That's the new American dream. You have to share the PS5 though.

My therapist charges $120/hr. I think psychology is fine, as long as you know you need to get a master's

It does, more so the question of whether or not it'll last. But no sense in waiting around on the possibility of it all coming down around you.

Think people just fail to recognize just how different things are. Gone are the days of opening up a mom and pop shop. Gotta get overhead low, everything is online now.

Gone are the blue collared factory jobs with wages you can raise a family of 4 on. But plumbers, electricians and handymen can all unironically become millionaires running their own businesses. Times are just different, Gotta adapt. School is worthless, high skill, high barrier of entry, high pay jobs are worthless. No point in being a doctor, lawyer, pilot ect. Anymore. Literally only makes sense for third worlders to do.
