This. I don't understand why people have so much against a digital analogue when literally the entire crypto space is about creating digital analogues of money.

Why can't you just make a PoS system that mathematically represents the bitcoin network? Put really simply, something like:

Each PoS token can digitally represent a top of the line ASIC miner with access to cheap electricity. You can have X miners which give you a probability of Y for getting the block reward.

So why not just digitally represent that scenario in a way that the system can't be gamed? Instead of electricity and ASICs being the rate limiting factor, it can be number of tokens with the randomness element determined by Chainlink VRF.

Can anyone explain what would be the technical difference and inferiority of this latter solution?

You'll get coercion from the validators.

That isn't a guarantee. Also what is stopping coercion amongst BTC miners?

Correct. BSV and XMR all the way. BTC too just because this is a market of fags.

Because electricity has value everywhere on earth outside the system. The tokens you are staking were created out of thin air.

Fucking board is still infested with clueless shitcoins. I don’t know why i came back today.

PoW gives actual value to the token through computational effort needed for mining. PoS is equivalent to rate of interest, in that the more you invest in the token and stake it the better chances are to win more, even with randomness added in equation.
