This price movement is not organic. It is manufactured.
The turn around is 100% coming.

The problem is that institutions spike up then sell off in the morning to create artificial momentum and make retail retards keep selling and then quoting the most retarded "hurrr durrrrr leveling off" narratives to justify, scaring off more people.
Since no institutions are selling, there's no volume or new buyers, meaning that the minuscule volume of these artificial movements swing the stock downward fucking 5%-10% every fucking time.

The problem is that it's working, and I can't keep holding through that nonsense when the money could be used productively. Going to have to time re-entry, which will be tough.

Everyone with a brain knows that loan forgiveness is a terrible idea. If they outright cancel loans, anyone that already repaid theirs in the last 5-10 years will riot. Anyone with no degree will riot. We'll see even more teenagers signing up for useless degrees in expectations of future welfare. It'll be a huge net-negative for the current economy. It's a policy that gives a small benefit to 20% of the population while massively pissing off the other 80%.
Loan pausing is much more tolerable despite the fact that a permanent pause is essentially the same as forgiveness. They've already been paused for 2 years while inflation silently eats the debt away. Someone with 100k in debt 2 years ago has already effectively saved 15k due to real value decay in their nominal debt while interest was paused. Essentially they've already done the "10k forgiveness" but no one realized it. Inflation is too complex for the average person to really understand.

So in the end, they're just gonna announce another extension. It'll be two more years of extensions spaced out every few months as a reminder and a passive threat that if you don't keep voting for the democrats, you're gonna have to start repayments again.

This is the type of political half-truth that leads to our entire economy getting fucked.
Technically in the same way that QE causes monetary inflation, student loans do as well, but they're both an asset and a liability. On the whole, they're neutral. A temporary expense is paired with a long term recovery, and if interest rates match or exceed inflation then the loan is actually deflationary over the long term.
Since new students enter school every year, historically each new year's loans are matched with repayment of past year's loans and the system typically remains roughly neutral. With loans and interest paused for over 2 years now, there has been no balance. If debt is outright cancelled, that balance will never be restored.
