The human mind revolves around stories.

We are in a time of immense change, while simultaneously having an immense and semi-complex recent history with it's own stories and ideas. Thus people are trying to make sense of the new and alien with the old and familiar.
Dialectic materialism warns against humanities struggles to gain insight into his material condition in time to effect the outcome of that condition to his own liking.

What I'm saying is that while everyone argues about things like communism and fascism and capitalism and all the other ideologies, the world industrial base and militarys, will become increasingly automated and eventually hyper intelligent AI will take control of the planet.

A better use of time than trying to prescribe corrective changes to the system, is simply to understand the system and what is happening. Only that way can lead to new and adaptive ideas for this new world.
