This sounds interesting. I hold 14GIOTA which I bought 4 years ago or and I am in a loss. I haven't bothered reading what they are doing but I was collecting Assembly and Shimmer as I got the notice from a frend. Missed phase 3 Assembly until now but whatever. Will they be even worth something? Having 10M SMR and 70k ASMB doesn't sound bad.

Will this overpromising project ever come to fruition or will it remain a shitshow for the next 5 years?

I have 1k IOTA but it's not on my exchanges so I can't buy more. What worries me is that there are no gas fees, so what is the coin used for? It's not needed.
