yes this is what is missing in the great wealth transfer narrative. they were called boomers because they pumped out kids. you will split everything with your siblings and anyone else in the will, this requires lawyers and as selfish as people are these days you can guarantee someone will make a stink and it'll rip you off a bit

my husband's father died a few years back. his sister was in charge of closing the accounts. she handed us a few thousand cash and said that's all there was. no receipts or proof. we would need a lawyer to verify if that's the truth and that's just not worth it
