in 2017 when bitcoin hit 20k a couple people asked me about bitcoin and i told them to consider waiting till the price came down since i wasn't sure the price would continue going up. when bitcoin was around 10k and i started buying they knew i was buying but they were no longer interested because price was down.

then when bitcoin was around 60k the same people asked again about bitcoin. i told them about dollar cost averaging and their eyes glazed over and they went back to talking about football and they lost interest. they haven't asked about it since.

it seems normies want to buy when it's high, after being promised by friends that it will keep going higher. they don't want to buy low and they don't want to hear about dollar cost averaging. they just want to be told "buy now"

How does crypto work?
