Does the market FEEL different to you? It doesn’t to me. And I’m not talking crypto, I’m talking macro global economic. People are still scared to spend and this shows in every company earnings and anecdotally I and the people I know are the same.

People not spending, prices inflating, companies with shit earnings. What happens next? Layoffs, mortgage defaults, housing market crashes. We are literally fucked. Then what? Fed turns the printer back on again? Or will they have learned their lesson and do it before it’s too late?

There’s no way crypto gets a boost without buyer confidence coming back. The catalyst for that is nowhere in sight.

US retail spending is actually up MoM. Whether that's just down to prices increasing or not, i'm not sure.

That's terrible btw. Shows that the rate hikes so far haven't really filtered through to the economy yet, people are still overleveraged as fuck on personal loans/credit and barely anyone is buying government debt (you would expect this to happen before/during a recession. Look at 2008 for example).

Consumer confidence is still pretty high which is scary, I think a lot of people don't realise how bad the next couple of years (at least) are going to be, not even doomer posting but this will probably be worse than 2008, this time it's a planned destruction of the economy i would imagine. fuckingkikes.

Little bit too doomer for my tastes.
The economy has already contracted for 2 quarters. Even if the government denies it, we're in recession. And the nex 2 quarters will contract too.
However, inflation has already peaked. It's going down every day according to truflation. It shouldn't be too long until we resume QE. It'll happen Q3 of next year latest, I reckon.
