What is the best way to leave the 9-5, retire early, move to a house in the woods where i can read, paint, hike and do whatever the fuck i want? I have thought of starting a business, but i feel like i dont have the drive, plus it could just fail. So far im a student and i work a part time job where i invest most of my pay into index funds.

It is weird to explain, but in denmark we have a sorta college like step before uni. It doesn’t really open up for any job opportunities, but it allows you to continue to uni. What I am studying right now is a mix of biology, math and architecture. But I have chosen to also add other subjects, so I can basically study anything I want at university.
What do you suggest studying?

If its free/little cost and you're in no rush to move out then study what you like.

If you want to move out soon then, depending on how much land is where you are, you may be better off working full time to get some money, save the majority and maybe DCAing some into crypto for the next cycle or other investments.

All depends on your budget and property prices.

I also feel that in the end there's no escape. Before globalism when a country turned to shit, you could fuck off to a better one but what's the point now ? It's only a matter of time until the cancer reaches that country too. And hiding in the woods isn't a long term scenario, you can't live separate from society forever. Not to mention our kids will need a good place to live. So you either form or join an isolated community Amish style (with the risk that at some point it won't be allowed by the state anymore), or there's a point where conflict will become inevitable. In every case, the situation looks grim.
