Hospitalist

Should have gone into accounting and had a normal 20's. Medicine has been perverted by health insurance companies. Private equity is trying to get in on the grift as well now. The patients are immensely ungrateful. Not worth it.

57k is about $1900 every two weeks after tax
rent 1200 minimum
Car payment, insurance, gas, 400 minimum
Groceries 300 minimum unless you can go even lower on the Dave Ramsey ulcer diet
that’s your first check of the month
then you have utilities, you’re going to spend 300 on that minimum (including phone)
let’s assume you have friends (or even a girlfriend) and you go to a sit down restaurant together twice a month, that’s 100 a month
next you’re actually going to need furniture for your living space unless you want to be one of those twitter memes of a potential serial killer, so you buy it on credit, 200 a month for whatever # of years
student loans 200 a month unless you’re ready to do battle with one of bidens new irs agents
We’re also going to consider things that improve your quality of life at all, like clothing, tools, cleaning supplies, hobbies, a gym membership, so let’s say you have 300 dollars for anything that is not survival/legal related
that leaves you about 500 dollars a month to actually save anything, which will be gone at the slightest emergency

Nah, I am accumulating a portfolio of debt assets, mostly preferred shares with qualified dividends at around 6% current yields from institutional grade issues.

Considering municipals if I can get a yield around 5% from high junk rated issue which currently I can't.

Probably should buy some property at some point.

My major non-debt asset holdings are bulk & container shipping lessors and I am a big believe in private equity bc they have been buying up everything lately.

I also drink a lot of my money away.

Nigger. The whole point of an engineering degree is to make higher end middle class wages. Not to be comparable to high school grads, LMAO
I know fucking truck drivers that make more. The whole point of a STEM degree is MONEY. Not settling for shit wages.

It can be hard to not make good savings on that, I’m at 65k minimum(thank god for overtime) and to keep savings up and costs down I’m renting a room 35 minutes away from work at 1100 a month. Anything remotely close starts at 2k and I wouldn’t be putting much away into stocks and crypto

I have to be honest, never understood crypto bros.
Well, I used to buy illegal drugs with BTC in like 2012 but other than that...

Are you not concerned that the fed (or any central bank) must consider crypto as an existential threat to their very existence?

I would not bet agains the fed desu

I’m more so in it right now for the high risk high reward potential for little initial investment
And I also know I’m not smarter or more resourceful than the fed so they will get their cut but I doubt they’ll try to get rid of crypto, just ensure they get their cut from everyone

>> No.50987532

No doubt. They will kill it with the embrace of death.

They recently sent a memo out to the big banks saying to let daddy fed know if they are getting involved in crypto.
They will absolutely take / tax that shit out from under you if they feel sufficiently threatened.

Death to the fed imo
