I just buy on ebay, not even some hidden "eBay Japan" just straight up normal ebay for vidya. They have a much healthier market because they aren't infested with big-name price speculators like MetalJesusRocks. The retro vidya market fucken sucks, glad I got what I did when it was affordable.

I have from 2009-2006, as well as the set for my birth year. They're really cool, I want to try to get every silver state quarter before 2023. Definitely not clad either not in the weight overlap range. Also not an alloy. This was probably stolen and sold by a crackhead or something. Or it might be a pawn shop closed down and a third party didn't know what it was because of the date, either way I have it in a capsule now, for whatever it's worth.

The third line of defense is examining your gold for proper density. Only tungsten matches gold's high density and nobody is making tungsten coins. There are also machines that test electrical and atomic characteristics. Your LCS will have one. You can probably get them to test for you for a small fee. Don't expect it for free since, after all, you bought from their competitor. I would test it for you for free if you were in my area.

The dealer will give you the same price (spot gold) for any of them. So just get the one you like the most. Personally I'd go with the one that hasn't got the ugly queen on it, but that's just me.
