That’s basically what a 401(k) is. I manually adjusted mine to be in 50/50 large cap index/mid cap index both with very low expense ratio( < 0.04).
The match is guaranteed free money. Mine has no vest. The index would have to decline 50% for you to break even if your match is 1:1. That’s a good deal.
Also, when you leave you’re company you can always roll your entire 401(k) into an IRA and then you can invest it however you like.

You need to “pay” like $10-$14 a month for it but that’s only if you don’t generate enough in commissions.
I trade multi-leg option spreads every week so I’ve never had this issue. Even if you don’t generate commissions, you don’t need to subscribe to the market data packages you can use external data for free just annoying since it’s not all in the same place
