>muh fees

Bitcoin is not a medium of exchange, it's store of value, just like physical gold. However it can also be transferred anywhere in the world within minutes, virtually for free (unless you are a nigger that can't even afford segwit transaction fees) and no bank or government can stop you. That is what gives it value. Lets imagine you made $100k... what you gonna do with it? Keep it in the bank having it eaten away by inflation and waiting for the day it will inevitably get bailed-in when the banks fail again?? Or you can put it in bonds that are in 300 year bubble driven by zero percent interest rates and unprecedented money printing! Or maybe put it in stocks that are currently overvalued by orders of magnitude... Perhaps you can buy half a property somewhere in the middle of nowhere knowing full well real estate is overpriced by any historical measure. Maybe you can put it in gold that's being actively suppressed for the past 5 years. No it's not true people want to sell bitcoin for something else. People want to buy bitcoin and hold bitcoin because EVERYTHING ELSE IS EITHER MANIPULATED OR IN AN ALL TIME HIGH HYPERBUBBLE. Ordinary people want to invest in bitcoin and keep bitcoin because unless you're in the billionaire class there is virtually nothing to invest into. Anyone who has at least $100k knows it's the truth...

>muh digital gold

Why ruin its liquidity so people start looking at alts with superior technology. Essentially ruining the first mover advantage and network effects it had

>it's store of value, just like physical gold

Because it ended up being so fucking shit as a currency. Why use a digital 'store of value' when a competitor can come along and give you that and the ability to actually use it when you want for transactions?
