Simple. The US has the reserve currency of the world. They are in a position where they can print the money and export their inflation since all the countries in the world want dollars so there's a global demand for their fiat but that has a limit. For example, they printed too much in 2020 and 2021 that's why you're seeing double digit inflation in the US of A in 2022 even with rising interest rates.

The same way the US has financed every other major conflict since WWII, the Ukraine government will have pay all that aid back with interest, which is going to be practically impossible with their GDP.
Britain only finished paying off their WWII debt to the US in 2020, so imagine how long the US can subjugate a small country like Ukraine.

So not only are they making money, the US is able to act like they’re a charitable organization giving help to a country fighting for its freedom.
