Anyone who can afford a 100 coronas will just buy a full ounce instead since it's more liquid.
Combine that with the absolute flood of coins they minted in the 60s and you have a huge supply with very little demand.
Unless you're in Germany, Austria or maybe Hungary, you'll have a lot of trouble selling a 100 Corona for spot.

It's kind of a schizoid theory but one that makes a lot of sense if you've ever heard the "most witches were lonely women that went crazy". She truly would have been less grouchy if she got laid based on a lot of common characteristics the stereotypical western fairy tale witch has
>basically always depicted with a physical anomaly that makes them unattractive (grossly overweight, hooked nose, warts etc)
>almost always too old to have children by the point, post-menopausal
>have cats with them, like the crazy women that adopt cats and small dogs as a substitute for children
>"riding" the broomstick in the night (may have been a more primitive form of female masturbation before things like dildos were invented)
>live by themselves in undesireable locations such as huts in the middle of forests, have no support group
>spoil themselves with candy and "bizarre potions", like the "cool wine aunts" that get drunk and fill up on cake and sugary coffee to null the pain
>kidnap children, because they can't have any of their own

Didn't know they ever quit minting them out of mostly copper. That's sad to learn. At least steel is better than zinc. I find corroded zinc pennies here in America all the time. It's a sad statement when our money literally rots in the ground. Also speaking of Canadian pennies has anyone seen this? I think it'd be a cool piece to have since I've always liked finding Canadian pennies in my change. although it's kinda pricey. https://www.mint.ca/en-us/shopping/archives/2021/1-oz-specimen-silver-one-cent-coin-farewell-to-the-penny-w-mint-mark-

Got this $34.13 item delivered yesterday and cleaned up this morning, it's antique continental sterling which I think used to be an oil lamp later converted to incandescent. 7" tall silver portion so I knew their claim of .92oz was an error and they either meant 9.2oz or .92 lb. It was the latter, and after removing the nonprecious hardware it weighs 230 grams, working out to $4.99 per troy ounce of pure silver. I think I'll keep it and try soldering a little plate of silver over the hole in the base and finding a suitable burner/wick holder to turn it back into an oil/kerosene lamp, I haven't seen a piece like this before so preserving it is preferable to refining. Good luck hunting down the cheapies anons.

The best approach I know is to send the scrap to a refinery and have them make you .999 bars, which you can then sell at a premium over spot. Got a 13+ kilo load of scrap being processed at the refinery right now. Takes more time than just buying bullion but if you're wired for it scrapping can be quite a gainful hobby.

>Anglo colonies choose
Only the US did this at first. The reason being that by 1776, Pounds, Shillings, and Pence were uncommon in the colonies. This was because Great Britain banned export of gold and silver coinage from England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. This law later lead to the establishment of the mints of Australia, New Zealand, Canada etc in the 19th century. With smaller colonies getting their own coins (all of these aforementioned coins being £sd) but minted in by the Royal Mint. Because of this ban on export, currency in the 13 colonies, largely came from other empires, specially Spain with their milled dollar. And thus when independent, the US made the dollar their currency. Canada became a dominion in the mid 19th century, and with approval from the crown, Canada adopted the Canadian dollar and discarded the Canadian pound. The Royal Canadian Mint then began minting coins where shaped suspiciously like American coins and shared their value. This whole act was done because of Canada’s proximity to the US and the British thought it was best for Canada to have currency that corresponded to the denominations of the US, in order to ease trade. Australia and New Zealand are the only other colonies that switched to a dollar copy. This was done in response to them gaining “independence” from the UK in the 1960s. This was a move to decimalize their currencies, basing it off the newly adopted South African Rand that replaced their pound. It was originally to be called the Royal (in Australia) and the Zeal (in New Zealand) before being unexplainably changed to the name dollar. In short only Canada adopted a currency truly based off of the US dollar, while the others are just “dollars” in name.

A Cheeseburger used to cost like $0.12. Copper coins, (as well as zinc coins) will command a premium over paper digits. Anyone with a $100 bill will be DESPERATE to have his paper converted into coinage once this is all over. The discrepancy in value will come to a point where basic arbitrage will have everyone scrambling to buy up boxes of coins. It's inevtiable as the paper-ponzi-game goes asymptotic.
I sort for copper pennies all of the time and do not bother returning the Zinc coins for cash. Copper is like 60ppm in the Earths crust, and Zinc is 70ppm. Zinc is also on the endagnered list of elements just like silver. Yet it is 20% the price of copper, all of which there are severe shortages of.

I will say, though, that recycling is a great method of acquiring some pocket cash. Everyone should learn what the metals are, the alloys, and be ready to spot an opportunity when you see one. I am taking in 5 bags of aluminum cans for money and headed straight to the coin shop to buy up some junk silver. It's not much, but it all hits that bottom line.
The point being, is if you live a non-consumerist lifestyle, save and invest and keep your monthly expenses as low as possible, it doesn't take much in the way of saving and investing to reach financial freedom. A $20 recycling receipt could easily be turned into a share of a mining stock that will pay me money for the rest of my life. With the profits being sold to pay off a mortgage or moved into blue chips or high yield ETFs. Trash to cash is the way to go.

We know how to refine it much better nowadays. And much of the yearly demand for aluminum can be supplied through recycling.

The Spanish mined a lot of silver in their colonies. I think their colonies also minted most of the silver coins used in the Americas. I don't believe the English colonies were mining any silver. England controlled their colonies much more, and IIRC, they didn't allow England's silver to be transferred to the colonies. All this meant there was a serious shortage of silver currency in the English colonies, so the colonists used whatever they could get their hands on.

Mining stocks in the 1960s went up 100x in some cases. There is no doubt plenty of risk, but plenty of reward to be had. Barrick is an example of a stock that is under $20, gives you exposure to PMs and also pays a dividend. Without much imagination we can easily see silver touch $30, and when that happens my portfolio is going to balloon up into 'on my way' status.

Correct.
The mechanics of what is laid out is clear. The banks are their most profitable when they overleverage the economy. They essentially create far more receipts for wealth than actually exists in the real world, and eventually a "run on the bank" is going to happen when everyone floods into hard assets. It's a never before seen "style" of bank run, but the mechanics are the same. I don't even think most stocks will even survive. The gameplan for the banks is to try and inflate their way out of the debt crisis with maybe some controlled bankruptcies, controlled stock crashes, etc. But the wealth destruction of cash will be too strong and the economy will never be able to recover without the global economy going through: BANKRUPTCY.

My thoughts exactly. Except I started off as a numisfag lol. Old coins just have sovl to them. I guess some new coins do too but I prefer the old school art style.

I'm quitting my job and going back to school soon, so I was thinking about selling off my PMs to help pay for tuition. But since I have some that are collectible I'm wondering how to sell them and actually get some return on investment.

Among a few other things, I have a complete set of the 11 2 oz Queen's Beast coins. I'm seeing people putting those up on ebay for $1200+, which is roughly 3x the value of the metal. Anyone have any experience with this? I've never sold anything on ebay before, so I doubt anyone would really want to buy PMs from me, and I've heard that scammers troll that site looking for inexperienced sellers to screw over anyway. But I don't know anyone personally who collects coins to sell them to, and if I go to a dealer I assume they will barely pay spot for them, if that. Any recommendations?

Might be fun to fuck but ZERO long term prospects. I would be embarrassed to bring that home to my portfolio! Like even Bridge and Tunnel from Shitholes like "Hoboken", or Fucking "Tarrytown", or Fucking "New Rochelle" don't even be doing that nonsense. These PMG Cats are like the most Mediocre and Marginal people in the history of investing.

Despite having the biggest ad campaign in the history of Right Wing Radio, like you think Fucking (((Mark Levin))) and Fucking (((Ben Shapiro))), and MotherFucking (((Dave Rubin))) know absolutely Shit about this market? PMs basically can't even keep up with low inflation, let alone today's inflation.

*Toot* *Toot* MotherFuckers! The Dunk Train is forming up right now, and we about to throw down on you like it's the 90s again! We're gonna Dunk the shit out of your PMs and make you Fucking famous MotherFuckers! Hepcats, these MotherFuckers look like they Fucking thirsty! Let's give them something to drink!

>That's how you know it will be worth a fortune 50 years from now.

Probably not quite a true fortune, but you're right that it'll have among the highest numismatic premiums of any American gold struck in the 21st century. Popular items that people saved in vast quantities remain common decades later, whereas the unpopular or hated items become rare and desirable years after. It's like crappy 1980s horror movie VHS tapes, few sold back then so now they are bought for hundreds or even thousands when they show up.

100%.

The system as it exists today is a banking scam where they essentially use debt/leverage to siphon out resources. This works because debt and taxes compel people to work harder/longer, and so long as asset prices increase the system can stay solvent.
Leverage has the effect of essentially ballooning balance sheets: If I give you $1M cash, your balance sheet increases $1M and mine stays the same. This happens because although I lost $1M cash, I created an IOU in the form of a $1M bond.
The problems arise in that that bond needs to be paid back. So any loans of this nature need to be properly invested in production/a business in order to generate an income in order to repay the loan + interest. In the case of America, we were using leverage to fuel consumption which is the DESTRUCTION of capital investment. We were using resources and labor to indulge in consumer goods and forgot to invest in our infrastructure and manufacturing base. The citizens are now broke and the capital does not exist to provide us with enough high paying jobs because we shipped them overseas for plastic trinkets from China.
I say this all the time, but the financial crisis that looms will take place in the debt market. This is not some nebulous ivory tower concept and can be most succinctly stated as such: There is a SEVERE SHORTAGE in real goods and services relative to the claims (cash, bonds and stocks) that exist. We failed to invest in mines due to suppressing commodity prices and now a whiplash effect will occur when people try to cash in their paper for real goods.

The bond market is $46TN in size and represents paper claims that need to be paid in the order of magnitude of TWICE the size of the U.S. GDP. These claims can never be repaid even if we spent 100 years trying to do so. People need all of our economic output just to eat, invest, pay for depreciating capital assets and infrastructure. So how will these bogus bonds be dealt with? The ONLY course of action the banks have left is to devalue the currency so that effectively the nominal amount of the bonds can be repaid but the actual purchasing power of the cash is so diluted that it does not cripple the economy. An impossible task, but the only route available to an insolvent bank and government if they merely want to maintain the status quo.
Every dollar you have ever worked for has been horribly devalued this year. The trick is they need people to stay in the financial system chasing yield, because any amount of these paper claims in the form of cash, stocks, and bonds begin to creep into the commodity markets then the whole system is instantly revealed for the fraud it is. The gold and silver market caps are peanuts compared to size of the stock and bond market. The system operates on the basis that all it needs to do is see to it that industrial demand is satisfied and the rest of the debt-plebs can run around in the hamster wheel consuming over priced service tier goods such as food and beer. Storing your wealth in physical form outside of a bankrupt banking system is literally an option that not everyone can participate in. THAT is true scarcity. So you better be the first one out of the door because the building is on fire and the exit doors open inwards. When you are trapped there will be no exit as the masses rush to the door. The physical markets are tiny and can be wiped out easily by any millionaire in your city looking to spend his cash. Paper millionaires who worked their whole lives will be reduced to peasants as their assets deleverage.

People don't realize the nature of leverage and how it expands balance sheets. This has a ballooning effect on asset prices such as housing, stocks and bonds. If you remove increases in debt of the U.S. economy, we have not had organic growth in the GDP since 1983.
And a contraction in consumer credit has reverberating effects. A mere contraction of $200BN in consumer credit brought down the housing market by $7TN.
Make no mistake, it doesn't matter how much money you make in housing or the stock market. At any given time, a loss of 80-90% is catastrophic for anyone, no matter how much money you have.
Your house will crater in value as that sector deleverages. Your stocks will be sold off and will NEVER reflate again as the capacity to play monetary games like we have been doing for the last 40 years comes to an end. The $700BN trade deficit we run will return to historical average of trade being net-zero. A loss of that size will collapse the U.S. service economy as all of that production is used to prop up corporate profits, dividends, jobs, and taxes. That's right, folks. The endless sprawl of big box stores jam packed with seemingly endless goods is coming to an end, and they will cost a hell of a lot more than they do now. The world doesn't need dollars anymore and the Petro Dollar already fell apart this very year. The economy we grew up in is gone and a much more poor existence for Americans is on the horizon.
Go read any boomer investing book from the 1970s and see what those markets were like relative to today where you can just seemingly make fortunes off of nothing. All of that liquidity will be gone. Your grandparents, in a sane economy, would literally wash and reuse their alumiunum foil. They only ever ate out a few times a month, if ever. All of the fake growth in the U.S. economy is a function of that very $46TN bond market that is about to blow up in our face.
