I'm an artist and I've been working in the NFT industry for around 6-7 months now and I've been creating the art for several projects, mainly on Solana.

Nobody in the space is talking about ICP NFT's yet and all the interesting stuff only happens on Solana or Ethereum.

Are ICP NFT's worth getting into right now? Or even starting my own collection? How much money is there to be made assuming I'm a poorfag?

ICP NFTs are the only "real" NFTs in the world. Everything is stored on-chain, unlike with ETH or SOL who store the NFT data on AWS.

Betting on ICP NFTs is betting first that ICP is going back to the top 10 eventually. Right now the community is small and everyone knows everybody.

Ludo just announced a collab with Banksy yesterday. His Pineapple Punks got 500k$ trading volume in less than a week. ICP NFTs are worth getting into if you have something special and you can achieve blue-chip status easier than on SOL or ETH.

Depending on mint price, you can easily get 10-100k ICP for a good collection.

Entrepot is the biggest ICP NFT marketplace and you can easily release your collection through self minting now I think. You can contact aforementioned people for details.

As for networks, most OGs are on seachan.
The WAGMI discord also has many people from /jpeg/ and seems to me is the most active chat these days. http://wagmidystopianclub.com/

BTC flowers discord is also very active but mostly filled by jeets and mainly hosts floor price discussion.

Collab nfts aren’t done yet, but they are easily do able. You could release a collection, do a collab with another nft artist and airdrop the collab to holders of both nfts- like ludo is doing with the banksy art (probably)

On dscvr you can now air drop exclusively to members of a dscvr portal- for you these means: get a group of supporters together build a community on dscvr and you can directly airdrop to your supports dscvr accounts who have joined your portal

This. Look at EVs upcoming collection. It's going to be literal 1:1 art pieces in a way never done before.

You have three options: (1) be an established artist that now switches to NFTs, and the brand name will sell your jpegs, (2) be an upcoming new artist who releases such high quality that people will notice, (3) find some kind of utility for your NFT that people will want to buy it (hard mode)

10k color variations of that ghost jpeg won't get you anywhere in the ICP NFT scene.
