The environment fud is irrelevant. The eth merge increasing throughput is the problem for Algo.

>> No.50874115

>>50874031
It increases throughput but doesn't deal with the EVM being unsclable and unsafe, it also doesn't deal with gas auctions being inherently unfair and lastly it doesn't deal with solidity itself being an ass language.

This is without considering the incoming fork and the fact that you're still banking on sharding and zk-rollups to scale the godamn mess. In a month's time Algorand can take on the load of all of Ethereum. In three months time it'll have the capability to cross-compile that God awful language natively and in a month's time through milkomedia on an L2 (although that's shit). Ethereum is literal fucking garbage that's good as a proof of concept but in no way should've been allowed to exist past that.

That's like arguing for NSFNET because it was the first. We're still SO far away from any form of mass adoption and serious scaling solutions that can onboard more than 100M users that it's completely irrelevant what technology we're using today. Hell, Solana might even be the one that comes ahead, but if you're truly a mETH head based off of current adoption then you're so far into an echo chamber there's no saving you.

Have you used MyAlgo? You don't have to install anything, it stores everying in localStorage. To sign a transaction you just enter a short password you set up. You do have to write your mnemonic down once though, since everying is deleted when you wipe your browser cache (not having backups for browser plugins like MetaMask is equally reckless, the mental model of where things get stored is much clearer for webapps though, IMO). Using a password manager like KeePass is pretty much a prerequisite to operate with any kind of security nowadays anyway, especially when you want to be your own bank. MyAlgo also isn't constrained to a small window in your browser bar, it's a full web application.

Headline is a retarded scam, and here's the DD on them so that you can fucking spread some serious FUD. Have fun with the swinging:

>Aaron Martinez is unironically a failed movie director that then pivoted into tech when he has ZERO technical background, none of the core team does, so they've been faking it till they make it
>Their DEX and Options market are not only bought from other minor developers, but seriously fucking broken at the fundamental level and will never attract any serious liquidity.
>Their astros and ETH NFTs are a fucking joke
>They unironically paid five figures to Yieldly for a fucking farm, so have fun getting dumped by Seb
>They don't have a working product
>Their previous products (algopay, algoswap, algoburn and algovault or whatever the fuck they're called) are tutorial carbon copies.
>The algoglyph is one of the dumbest things I've seen being pushed as a product.
>They got early backing back when Sean had the chequebook open and is one of the reasons why he got fired, along with the never ending fiascos from the Foundation when they were starting
>Since then and because they got paid a lot upfront they've been scrambling to find a product and have proceeded to dump money to anyone for anything and have bought serious bottom of the barrel stuff(if you don't believe me then why did the Alammex dev sold them algoptions and not alammex?)
>I've heard through people that they tried to buy some serious projects and then got rejected completely, but idk which ones, either the portfolio one or vest instead settling for that shitty charting site since "it looked good enough"
>their tech suite and social media are so fucking broken that they're dead now

It's the worst hold you could potentially have unless you're actively trying to scam people.

from my scriptkiddy tier programming perspective, the algorand py sdk is amazing, and all the good projects have py sdks that get me horny.

algofi team used pyteal, and they are beasts. when tinyman went down they whipped out a DEX in under a month. their py sdk is great as well.

They're rebranded as Silo and I think they're on TestNet atm. But the model is stupid, it has to be one of the dumbest ways to do options on a DeFi scale. Also, I think it's broken because of a few problems with the SC but I'm not gonna spill the beans, specially cause it's an exogenous problem so I really doubt their auditors (if they have any) will catch it.
