That's like saying banks will just create their own private versions of SWIFT. If banks all try using their own versions then one big bank's will inevitably outcompete the others. Most banks would naturally flood to the neutral and best performing version to stop larger banks from gaining a competitive edge over them.

Because Swift, a cooperative organization of banks, will move their power to Ripple, a private & for-profit company. That sounds totally and utterly ridiculous.
Here again is the confusion between XRP and Ripple Connect. First the two are separate technologies. Banks can implement Ripple Connect without XRP.
There is no correlation between XRP being used to replace SWIFT.
XRP isn’t being used in banks because Banks have little use for a digital token for forex transactions.
SWIFT is a forex settlement system, why add another layer to it with Ripple Connect and XRP together? Makes no sense.
It is this confusion that is causing people to think they are sitting on a gold mine while holding on to XRP.
And still, if you invest in XRP technology just to make money, you have no principles because it is not the ethos of crypto.
