I hold this coin but I'm not really convinced it's bullish.
It remains to be seen whether tpoxx will be sufficiently popular as compared to vaccines.
They said they're going to run trials in September, which can probably go either way.
Their production capacity is extremely limited.
In addition to existing pox vaccines the mRNA companies may start pumping out new experimental shots, and they have deeper pockets and better connections to get them approved super quickly and sell them.

Clinical trials are more of a formality for SIGA. They already have TPOXX approved in Europe for indications towards mpox. SIGAs CEO has also stated that he is convinced that TPOXX will be efficient against mpox. They’re also running smaller trials with the JYNNEOS vaccine together with TPOXX as a treatment.

So SIGA was chilling at $7 with a perpetual contract selling 375k courses per year to the US as they expired.

Assuming mpox remains endemic in the gays but is contained by vaccines and doesn't really spill over (see: London, SF, NYC), you're looking at like 17.5m first world infection targets where maybe a tenth of them actually need/get TPOXX. With a 3 year reinfection/immunity window... 1.75m/3. That's roughly 600k courses per year.

So fair value is about $21, or $14 if Biden decides to give about-to-expire stockpile doses to hospitals. Current upside is from mutations or school/normie spread.
