Just because the market system doesn't heavily reward people for providing goods and services that are necessary to keep it operating doesn't mean that it is a failed system. Teachers fulfil a role necessary to teach children the skills to fill roles in the market system but they are not rewarded proportionately to their services. Just because some people are smart enough to find avenues to generate profit well beyond their input into the system does not mean its broken; it just means that these people are smarter and understand how to make money.
