>gas prices going down
>inflation slowing down
>stock market already recovering
And yet crypto is still crabbing the bottom and is expecting to crash hard again this year. Why?

>gas prices going down
one hypervisible and basically pointless element of inflation, insert image here of a soijak floor trader pointing to a gas station sign in the distance
>inflation slowing down
but not reversing, and won't reverse because inflation has become entrenced (v shaped recovery cucks will deny this)
>stock market already recovering
what is a bull trap

crypto was going up when the fed funds rate was 0%
the risk-free rate was 0.25%
why the fuck should anyone do that today? today's 10Y, a good proxy for the risk-free rate if you don't want to calculate one customized to yourself, is 2.68%
that means a reasonable corp bond rate, or a modest REIT rate, is maybe 5-6%. slightly more aggressive REIT would be up near 9-10%.
crypto is not a business operation it's just purely digital, fake, magic "money" that exists only in a permanently interconnected world. who thinks crypto is going to move 25% or 30% over the next year, a properly risk-adjusted return?

Can't blame them. It's no wonder even people with retirement accounts don't feel like they can retire. You could have a half million in the SPY and lose 10,000 goddamn dollars in a single day off a price fluctuation.

It's also why the housing market isn't going to get better for young people. When the capitulation happens boomers WILL move their retirement funds into RE, just to feel safe.

>gas prices still at least twice as high or worse, especially around heavily populated cities (means supply chain and farming are still getting fucked)
>inflated prices will take weeks or months to go down, and even when people aren't paying extra at the grocery market, the money they spent still isn't coming back. Everyone's yearly budgets have been skewed hard and fucks up a lot of long-term financial planning for the average person
>stock market recovery is happening so fast that it could reverse course at any minute. There's more effort being put into convincing people that nothing is wrong and everything will be great (there just might be some massive layoffs and pay cuts, no big deal! haha!) and how the government/MSM wants people to stop with all this doom and gloom and WW3 talk, because it's making them look bad that everyone is rightfully observing that the economy doesn't seem so good right now.
