Would you tell him to go to university, or find a skill?

Asking for a friend

You won't get good at any skill in 1-2 years. Go learn something on the job.

You're weighing up a useless degree or being a noob retard. Seek a third option.

>can't relate to the NEETs
>can't give anyone advice how to Make It either
I suppose this is probably the normative Westoid experience, but it's sure boring. Dangerously boring. Man, I want some 22 year old pussy right about now.

What did you study? Did you complete a degree, or drop out?

This is my plan B. Any recommended trades? I hear it's important to save your back when choosing a trade, plus I'm not that young anymore, so that's even more of a factor.

This leads to another debate, CS vs bootcamps. Is it worth learning to code without a degree in your opinion?

Fucking if I know. I got an associates degree at 27 and then started working crap factory jobs. I never bothered to finish my degree because I figured I would never fit in with the other normies and introverted subjects like programming bore me to tears.

No, just get a job. Try to get into a company where there is room to advance, such as moving from shipping into sales or something like that. You could go from operating a CNC machine to programming them in a few short years if you work hard. You could get a CDL and become a truck driver.

Just lie about your experience, land a decent job and you will be okay. There are people who get out of prison and get decent jobs. You just can't expect to be very comfy until you put in a few years hard work. You need to change your entire mindset and get motivated. Also learn to save and invest your money along the way.

First off, try to get a job. A modest income would help a lot. Second, get a shit degree at your local community college. They really do help with getting better jobs. Third, a skill of your choice for your own personal improvement.
