Hey guys before we get into this thread, I want to talk about /smg/'s sponsor for this evening: Direxion Leverage ETFs is a provider of financial products for investors who want more than the status quo. The company has approximately $30.8 billion in assets under management and their index-based products deliver directional options, magnified exposure, and long-term, rules-based strategies. Direxion's Leveraged and Inverse ETFs provide opportunities for traders to magnify short term perspectives with daily 3X and 2X leverage, utilize bull and bear funds for both sides of the trade, and trade through rapidly changing markets. Their Strategic & Thematic ETFs help buy-and-hold investors achieve long-term outperformance when compared to passive indexes, while seeking more specific objectives such as higher income, enhanced diversification, reduced volatility, excess returns, and more. Their role is to complement your core investment strategies, not to replace them. Their funds allow you to seek opportunities in all market conditions offering fresh solutions to challenge old standards. At Direxion, they are focused on your success. They continuously strive to provide you with the innovative products, consistent performance, and on-the-ground support to help you to take advantage of opportunities, execute your strategies, deliver for your clients, and grow your business-regardless of market conditions.

Now, back to the thread!

If Nestlé were forced to split off some of their brands, the free hand of the stock market would decide if Hot Pockets are a good thing to produce or not... and not some douchebag in a boardroom looking at Excel spreadsheets

German brokers tried to split shares to cover the stock split issued as a dividend, they got called out for fraud, had to delete all of them and start sucking dick for real shares to cover customers positions. Customers who held before issuance date were entitled to receive additional shares at a 3-to-1 basis of their original holdings. Germans tried to split the existing shares, obviously that doesn't hold up on the back-end as shares they created by splitting existed ones aren't real, customers got wind of this and tried to direct register their shit, brokers got fucked and are fucked until they find the shares they need to cover customer positions. It wasn't even the spiciest thing that happened with gme today, iBroker got busted hard for crediting customer accounts with short positions because they didn't have the shares to issue because they were never issued any shares from the dividend stock split issuance from the DTCC - most likely because they never actually held their customers shares to begin with.

It's all hard proof more shares are held than should exist. Which means the squeeze is real. Verification not required.

Welcome to contract for difference trading. Alternatively, just standard broker fuckery, because they have the cash on hand to pay their clients for positions the broker doesn't actually hold, because anything a broker holds isn't actually in their customers name, it is in street name, which means legally speaking you do not own shit with a broker and they can rugpull you to fuck and back at will and you have no recourse because you agreed to it in the T+C's. It is mega fraudulent. Welcome to stocks. Robots will shitdick you on all your trades and unless you're paying commissions everything you buy is frontrun and you're getting poorer execution than you legally should be on share and options purchases. The fee for paper shares is 100-500$ per share as it has to be officially removed from the DTCC and shipped to you, and they do not like doing that. It is possible though and you do unironically unfuck yourself doing it so long as you're okay with going to the NYSE floor to physically sell your shares, and that's assuming you can find a buyer so it'd have to be one hell of a happening to make it worth it. The easier way is just direct registering your holdings with whoever the given companies transfer agent is, whereupon your shares are as the name of the process implies registered directly to you and you alone and are also removed from the broader market system so they can no longer be used for fraudulent purposes, chief amongst them as being used as a viable candidate for locates to borrow so firms can just short sell shit into oblivion via a number of different methods. Yes, all of finance is inherently fraudulent, I'm amazed you didn't know already and participate in it at all but here we all are.

Is okay fren, most people don't know this or don't care to know it because in all honesty most of the time a cost-for-difference system for stock trading works out and is approximately """fair""" all things considered. The major exception is that it allows for all sorts of fuckery, and I'm talking about the kind of fuckery enabling that allows for taking down empires from within and crippling nations when taken to extremes. It's still very possible to make a profit in the current system, and even enough of a profit to still make money when considering the insane tax burden on those profits, but the way stocks work in the current system allows for the common man to get fucked relentlessly with a cactus because he doesn't actually own shit, can be rugged without notice and without recourse due to terms he agreed to without reading (that are barely readable or followable as a rule because doublespeak and intentional complexity) and most of all because what he thinks he owns and controls is actually wholly outside of his control and his own positions can be used against him. This isn't even getting into how brokers fuck everyone that uses them on best execution to grift pennies at a time hundreds of millions if not billions of times a day, nor does it address borrow fees they can collect lending out shares they shouldn't and say they won't, again because doublespeak, or like ten more posts and two more hours of typing worth of methods to screw everyone who participates from the richest to the poorest.

The more you know about how it all works (actually works behind the scenes, not the way you're told it works) the more you understand that it was never meant to be understood and that anyone that actually does understand it wants to tear it all down and flip the proverbial and literal table in the moneychangers temple. Your best bet is picking shit at random with a truly random system or just going with sentiment and learning how to read between the lines.

The only tickers I despise are Alphabet companies. GOOG for example, is basically just investing in big government. The Constitution places many limits directly on the government. I'm predicting mayhem for the NASDAQ after the midterms. If the Democrat party comes to a near collapse, retail will sell imo. If institutions figure out the Democrats are completely toothless, one od them might blink and sell their tech stocks - as GOOG has a server crippling weakness. So does META etc.

Been trading full time for many many years. Won't get "blown out" because there's a thing called risk management and bankroll management.
Weird how some of the biggest traders and most experienced traders on the planet preach using the 9ema/20ma/200ma. I'll trust my own experience and that of those with decades of experience, some of the most well known and well regarded traders on the planet and those trading with 8-9 figure accounts over some random "Muhh I trade /es for a living" kek. You're too biased to ever be a truly successful trader. Do you think I see some random moving average and go "Durpp buy?"
You don't know how I use them, the context they are used in, whether they are entry/exit signals or confirmation signals of things I already see; you only come with assumptions.
If you read anything I already stated above, I told you that volume and relative volume, as well as multiple time frame analysis are the most important aspects to me. Don't know why you're so pissy about this topic.

The small farms that make money are selling courses like Connor Crickmore, who boasts about making 1 million a year on 1 acre with this one simple trick. The spoiler is that 1 acre is bed space and not actual land.
Generally small farms subsist on the generosity of a core patron base and make all their money on salad mix.

Kek, take a peek at this email I got when shorting during a squeeze last year. GME baggies imagine that they can take all the shares and force hedgies to buy for $1MM each, but the system just isn't strict in any way apparently. You can hold fake shares for 2 days, then roll and do 2 days more and so on.

If the squeeze ever threatens a Real Person (aka not retail), they can always just stop trading and/or undo transactions. See what happened with nickel last month, or RDBX, etc
