2008 was the peak of the last big commodities bull market. During the 2000's, most miners and drybulk shipping had to do ATM offerings to raise capital and stay afloat, leading to share dilution. This led to a critical under investment in new mines and in new dry bulk ships being built. Somewhere in 2026-2030 will be the peak of this cycle's big commodity bull market. There is currently 50x as much money sitting on the sidelines right now as existed during the 2000s commodity bull. Use your imagination on where things might be going. Pic somewhat related.

they're fine but i'm old so i stick to URNM to diversify away risk for the vast majority of my position, i already know i'm pretty bad at picking stocks. i made one exception for LEU they are a great US play in the fuel chain and none other than bill gates is gonna spend money buying fuel from them. still, i know i probably won't price this position correctly, so i'm probably just gonna hold it forever, no matter how well (or how bad) it performs.
when i do want risk i pinpoint it to one thing since the position size will be small to begin with. in 2021 my thing was paladin energy (PALAF) but i jumped ship on that for deep yellow (DYLLF). the merger with vimy resources makes them more attractive. their market cap has to 6x just to catch up with paladin today, and the only catalyst for that is when they break ground on their first mine and mill. they secured the funding already. in fact they got 200M AUD to get started and paladin was only able to secure 80M AUD to restart langer (after promising shareholders it would cost like 35M or something lol) which means deep yellow will deploy 100% of that capital to create an operation and show a fantastic return on it, whereas paladin will print something respectable but already worse than what shareholders signed up for; their market cap is too high and will stay stagnant for a bit.
