Is this a good buy? It is basically one of the only blue chips in defi (inb4 NO SIR MY COIN IS A BLUE CHIP). How much of this should I hold relative to BTC, ETH, and LINK?

It annoys me to no end that a fucking yield farm is considered the peak of innovation in the blockchain space. What a waste these past 10 years have been.

any reason you're heavier on CVX? I presume you're staking the both?

>>50590280
It's basically the premier stablecoin swap in defi. Best of my knowledge, there's nowhere else that's quite as efficient to swap between stablecoins because of the algorithm. You wouldn't go from USDC -> USDT on Uniswap for example. You'd lose more to slippage and fees

The curve wars should be going into a new phase once the bullrun resumes and could possibly be a good buy. I think though that curve is more of a place to park a large amount of funds for at least its vecrv lock duration and playing into its system. If you dont have a ton of funds, there are better lock systems around that are still just starting out and havent begun their parabolic run, check out spirit and their inspirit lock. Same thing as curve, bribes and all, its a blue chip on the fantom chain.

>> No.50591729

>>50591382
based fantom chad. I locked my spirit up for the max period...although I'm not staking anything on there anymore. LQDR is pretty decent thus far.

certainly not, now that Uniswap enabled a fee tier for ETH/USDC and USDC/USDT.

They dont want ur shitty USDT liquidity anyway.

Uniswap is insulating their stablecoin business from Tether liquidity. Curve on the other hand is the go-to marketplace for USDT liquidity. Eventually the entire system will be blacklisted and nobody with a KYC's account will touch Curve.

Not buying your shitty bags sorry.

I've had a great deal of spirit locked for the max duration since day 1, making sure I vote to get those juicy ass bribes which have already recouped my locked initial. Been farming several of the pools with insane boosted apr. I've also been branching out into the winspirit tokens as these are basically guaranteed to go back 1:1 when the new pegging help systems are implemented. $1 is inevitable.

Has nothing to do with the algo and everything to do with how deep the liquidity is. Deeper liquidity= less slippage

It is a top 10 coin that is designed extremely well and has stood the test of time. Super resilient during the crash when stables were all depegging. Should be in anyone’s portfolio alongside ETH BTC and LINK.

I've been really lazy about voting but I'm certainly not selling. Maybe I should start selling my FTM rewards for fantom ecosystem tokens instead since I've got so many. I've always been bullish on spirit though, I think they have a real unique product. I like all of fantom though

>>50592430
Nah I don't have the chart handy anymore but the way the algos are written on curve are more efficient. It's not something noticable maybe if you're doing 4 to low-5 figure swaps, but if you're doing a lot then you definitely get a better deal no matter the liquidity.

I doubt KYC can kill anything like crv, weird cope. Nobody gives a shit about Americans and at most all they can do is put up a firewall that most people can get around

If KYC wasn’t going to be bad for Curve their CEO wouldn’t be going to central bank round tables this year begging them not to do it and saying it’ll kill DeFi.

>> No.50593752

>>50593681
There's a difference between "being bad" and killing. Yeah, KYC is going to hurt most of the sector. But what that extends to is shutting out Americans and Euros and probably institutional investors. Rest of the world will carry on. There's no way that kind of regulation is good for anybody despite the "compliant" memes.

>> No.50594022

>>50593752
Most of the sector will be fine because protocols like AAVE and COMP are complying and will get trillions in inflows because of it while anyone who doesn’t play ball gets cut off and relegated to the scraps, which will only get smaller over time. That’s a death sentence and again, is the reason why Curve’s CEO is begging regulators in person not to do it.
