Yes, the situation is neatly solved now by making students indentured. I think the lack of consequences for the state is ridiculous. If people could default, the state/anyone should be more careful to whom and for what they give out loans. Who knows, maybe this would even lead to quality and price control on education rather than selection for 'streamlining'.

In the end academia would probably go back to the rich and gifted, professional education would be selected for heavily and tie in closely with industry. The rest doesn't fucking need titles and higher education and we can stop pretending they need them.

Things you would see if that happened:
>lenders no longer willing to give out tens of thousands of dollars to 18-21 year olds (basically still mentally kids) with no collateral
>kids can't afford tuition out of pocket
>colleges lower tuition until it becomes affordable again
>colleges cut a bunch of excess spending to meet that budget. Fewer diversity programs, less art and sports spending
>college becomes about getting an actual education again
>students now have a more rational environment in which to make the decision on whether to continue their education into college
>the smart kids get a college education which is more useful because they learn more AND fewer people have it so the degree means something significant again
>kids without a propensity for studies begin to fill gaps in the trades and learn on the job to be more productive than they ever would have learned in college, thus increase their earnings beyond what it would have been with a gender studies degree flipping burgers
>instead of wasting 4 years and 80k on a useless degree, they start earning money right out of high school
>america as a nation becomes more productive, thus strengthening the economy and increasing the general standard of living.

Yes, there will be a painful transition period where the economy has to purge out all the malinvestments, but it will be better in the long run.

In it he talks about how it is the responsibility of banks and lenders to make sure the people they are lending to are willing and capable of repaying their loans before making them.... imagine if lenders knew they would get paid back 100% of the time because the law would enforce the repayment of debt--- what would that do to their standards of loaning and vetting? I will never pay my loans after hearing what debauchery my office of boomers did in the mid 2000's - maxing out credit cards, debt, purchasing houses, and laughing about the whole thing.

Die mad retards.

>what would that do to their standards of loaning and vetting? They would simply lend to anyone and everyone, with increasingly predatory tactics and high rates
>high rates
Right, because knowing that a good chunk of people will never pay them back will cause rates to plummet... US student debt is a retarded system, but don't pretend that adding more risk to student loans will somehow make them cheaper.

I paid off my 30k student loan during the time when Bitcoin could have made me a multi-millionaire I would have had 30 mil or something if I had followed the Sam Hyde method and bought BTC instead of paying on loans.

If any amount of student debt gets forgiven and I am not paid back I will promptly leave the country I've already started the process and I do not pay income taxes to New York anymore other than South Dakota but I'm going to live in Thailand or something like that next and then renounce my US citizenship after debt maxing of course all into Monero.
