Why do you people always think that whales moving coins to exchanges means they're going to sell them immediately? It could very well be the case that they want to have quick and easy access to those coins to sell the top after a pump they know is coming. You might ask, "why wouldn't they just transfer it right before they're ready to sell?" Well, if you had a billion dollars in coins you'd probably have security mechanisms in place to delay withdrawals for multiple days or weeks, tied to a 2FA method to confirm, so if somebody hacked your shit or stole your hardware wallet you'd have time to cancel them before they were broadcast to the network. That would be the smart thing to do, anyway.

the fact that they are moving them at all in a market with shit liquidity is a concerning sign generally. If they didn't want to take the counterparty risk of lending for yield before, why would they want to do it now that yields are low and counterparty risk is high?

Because they're extremely wealthy and probably colluding with other whales to orchestrate a pump soon, which is why they know one is coming. It's not exactly a secret or conspiracy theory to say that these markets are and always have been heavily manipulated. While everyone is freaking out about whale addresses moving coins to exchanges, they're slowly buying up cheap coins and preparing to pump the price. The liquidity might be shit now but that can change in an instant when a pump starts, normies and redditors notice and hop on, and suddenly there's great liquidity and buy pressure.

IBC but it's still early, it's going to change the crypto landscape by enabling cryptosecurities.

>> No.50480415

>>50480351
Cosmos is very stagnant and I don't think they still have a chance to unleash their potential and provide mass adoption for crypto soon. Polkadot is indeed much better overall, even a project like Equilibrium is going to have an all-in-one platform where you can borrow, lend, trade and stake efficiently.

>that's just 1 project what more with the other parachain auction winners

>> No.50480668

>>50480415
IBC is very important but it won't be centered around Cosmos, sure it's the native hub but what'll be really important are the IBC connected sidechains just like Polkadot's parachains. The way you compare the two means you have no clue of the goals of both of them. Their goal is cooperation, not competition. Both protocols want to connect blockchains together to facilitate safer and more decentralized bridging services, to increase composability and share value. However both Cosmos and Polkadot will be short on capitalizing the value they bring to their ecosystems. Find their good sidechain projects to invest in and stake those tokens, the returns are kind of like dividend yielding securities. That is why these protocols, with DeFi for liquidity and bridging, will turn cryptocurrencies into real cryptosecurities and kill the old way of stock trading. That's where the value of Cosmos and Polkadot is.
