Newfag here. On Uniswap, if I swap ETH for shitcoin, will the shitcoin now be held in my Metamask wallet?

No, it will be held at your Ethereum address on the Ethereum blckchain, with what you interact with through your Metamask wallet

fren metamask supports all tokens on the ethereum network, you might just have to add the token to the wallet yourself manually

I've heard that Raiinmaker use the Proof of Influence algorithm, in which Web2 Social Engagement Data is hashed on to Web3 Public Blockchains and value is given back to the user in the form of Crypto and NFT Rewards.

It will be held in an Ethereum account, which is a data slot in the Ethereum blockchain, which is a kinda globally distributed database. This account is identified via an Ethereum address, a hexadecimal ID associated with your account. You can use this address the look at the contents of your account from everywhere, not just from your MetaMask plugin, but also from external sites like etherscan.org. All Ethereum blockchain state is public after all. Your account/address can hold all kinds of data, ETH balances and balances of other tokens are usually the most common things that are stored within it. If you execute a swap on Uniswap, the shitcoin of your choice will also end up in said account, under the same address.

What MetaMask does for you is to manage the secret key needed to access your Ethereum account. This usually comes in the form of a set of key words (usually 12, sometimes 24 common English words) that MetaMask uses as the ultimate source of your secret key. You should physically write these words down somewhere, if you haven't done so already, so you can regain access to your account if your computer ever fucks up for some reason. Not only that, you can also enter these keywords in any other wallet of your choosing (say Brave's integrated wallet) and use that instead (or in parallel to MetaMask).

kek, I'm sorry for your ignorance, anon. I'm aware of the platform as well. Raiinmaker allows users to create content and participate in campaigns in order to earn Cryptos, NFTs, and digital gift cards from over 300 global brands.

thanks fren, if i connect my Metamask to Brave, but Brave also gives me a 12 word key, So now my Brave key and Metamask key both lead to the same ETH account?

>> No.50451487

Well first, you don't need to do any of this, unless you're just curious. But if you do, you have to *import* the 12-word passphrase you used to create your account initially. The 12 words Brave gives you are just the seed words for another fresh unrelated account, which you probably don't care about. If you use the wallet that is integrated in Brave (it's not called MetaMask, I think it's just called "Brave Wallet"), there's a "Restore" option where you can enter your existing 12 words. But you have to *export* them in your existing MetaMask wallet first. I don't recall exactly, but I think they're called "Seed Phrase" or "Secret Recovery Phrase" in MetaMask and you can reveal them in your Security settings by entering your password.

Note: you should NEVER show these 12 words to anyone, but you should write them down somewhere safe. They are the ultimate source of access to your account data. If you know these 12 words, you can always recover your crypto.
