i got the chase sapphire preferred metal card and this thing is honestly pretty shit. the physical card itself doesn't work anywhere because the chip is always broken, even after getting 3 replacements. the rewards i get from it are also pretty meh except for booking flights and hotels, but the benefits probably don't outweigh the $100 annual fee. about the only thing it's useful for is no international fees, but again the physical card never works because its a piece of shit.

i get unlimited lounge access to the 'pay to entry' lounges (gay) i usually fly business so i just use the business lounges of airlines, much better.

other benefits are personal assistant

aka ask them to book you tickets to a show in vegas, ask them to book you a table at a booked out restaurant. quite nice

plus some other stuff like free credit per month on uber and various other services

plus it has great insurance, for you, partner, kids and extended family when travelling together.

also, i am instant gold status on all hotel and car rental programmes, so free upgrades and whatever else comes with that. usually when booking hilton hotels i get upgraded to a suite. when booking cars, i'll get upgraded to a luxury suv if booking a normal sedan.
