80 VTI 20 BND in my roth, 40k. It was fucking grueling hitting the 6k max for the past 6 years, had to cut so many costs to make it happen.

But Im pretty sure if I throw another 1k in every year that will fund my retirement.

Now I'm really considering opening a trad ira and trying to do the 55/45 TQQQ/TMF quarterly rebalance strategy. Especially with TMF at fucking $12.5.

Bonds might be the real lottery ticket of a lifetime right now and nobody on this board even cares cuz theyre bonds. Everyone knows about tqqq but idk why there isnt the same hype for leveraged bond etfs

Why not just buy VDHG and then REIT allocation.

well aussie anon, i wouldn't go all-in your own country given the way things are going there, but you have the right idea. there's probably some ETF representing the rest of the world that you might want to be in.

>>50438200
i said that like a complete retard but i'm referring to the leveraged etf, TQQQ. deal with it.

If you're poor the index funds on vanguard have pretty much identical fees with more options and cheaper unit prices if you're holding longterm.

Also lower fees for brokerage fees especially for Ausfags.

brokerage will probably cuck you unless your weekly lots are enormous. Unsure of the exact math, but I'd assume you'd want to invest in $5k lots at a minimum. Avoid VNQ, anything US domiciled will incur tax drag that doesn't make up for potentially lower fees. I personally don't see much upside for VAP/REIT's, besides which that particular one has terrible diversification even by Australian standards. VDHG like other anons mentioned is reasonable especially if you don't want to put much effort in, just contains arguably unneeded bonds and completely unneeded tax drag.

I would just do something like a 50/50 VAS/VGS split to keep it nice and simple desu.

The industry as a whole knows a lot about leveraged bond ETFs.
Specifically with regard to how they let you create a leveraged risk parity portfolio.
