yeah, I've done it before. I actually currently work for Doordash in a Dashmart as a full time employee manager. The trick to making money with doordash is that you simply have to decline/refuse 90% of orders. When I used to do it, my rule was I would not accept an order less than $5 and would not accept one that paid less than $1 per mile of driving. If I had to go back to it, with inflation, I probably wouldn't accept an order under $6. Of course, that's only really viable if you're living with parents without expenses. The trick with doordash is that they prey on insecurities and so many normies feel they have to take every order to make ends meet. If literally every dasher refused 90% of offers, the payouts would be forced to rise

There isn't. Every job that pays livable wage get's hundreds to thousands of applications.
The shortage meme is largely just some shithole gas station jobs in bumfuck nowhere that pay 9€/hr and offer 10-20h weekly.
I know this because I was looking for jobs last year. A support desk office job had over 400+ applicants and a "good" grocery job listing had from what I was told had couple hundred.

Fortunately I lucked out with my current job but employers complaining about worker shortage are just straight up lying or twisting the truth. I mean the location thing is a tough one, if your business is in a dying city and workforce is moving to booming cities you are fucked and it is what it is.

But other than that you are just a shit employer. Pay more, offer more hours and don't be a fucking idiot. Have a good working environment and you will get applications by the hundreds.

Something i've noticed is that there are a ton of jobs that are in desperate need on filling but just pay like shit
Here in Belgium there is an almost TWO YEAR waiting period for almost all construction work, there simply aren't enough people, you need to straight up bribe contruction workers if you need something done before 2025
despite that i would earn an extra 25 cents working contruction rather than working for McDonalds

Same thing with teachers, my sister's school didn't have a math teacher for 6 months yet there are insane barriers to entry to become one, they actually made it even harder to the point you need the same qualifications to teach highschoolers math that you need to work for fucking NASA
OIh and the pay is dogshit and dependant on your education

Something deeply wrong is going on, it's like companies and the govermant are commiting ritualistic suicide rather than solve any problems, i start to understand Kafka more and more
