I've heard about the dollar milkshake theory here before, but how does it end? so the usd keeps up against weaker currencies, but eventually those countries will be defaulting on debts. there are also countries that are more independent of usd, like russia, middle eastern countries and east asian countries, so how do they play into the long term usd increase?

I'm guessing eventually there will be some major conflict over the issue, but any further insight into how the dollar milkshake ends is appreciated

Does anyone actually think next week will be net red? Everyone seems to be realizing that peak inflation and peak hikes are either over or nearly over, and beyond that there aren't any more bearish catalysts on the horizon. >peak inflation
Oh boy, where to start. First of all, inflation is a self-sustaining phenomenon, the higher it gets, the harder it is to stop. Workers are seeing their wages evaporate and will demand more pay. There is a delay to this, but it will come sooner or later. This will absolutely crush corporate margins and thus their profits, so they either have to raise prices further or lay off workers. We all know they will prefer the latter. This is the only way to get inflation actually under control, if everyone loses their job. We can talk peak inflation if unemployment is closer to 10%.

The thing is that it might be a while until the majority realize this, so having a big summer rally over multiple weeks even is an option.

Basically other countries owe US money. When dollar goes higher and their currency decreases in value it means they have to pay even more money which risks those countries defaulting. Another issue is the PetroDollar part of the reason the Saudis are even willing to deal is because an increasing Petro Dollar means that the cost for Oil in other countries is EVEN HIGHER which would cause accelerated demand destruction. This in turn effects food prices since OIL is necessary to maintain FOOD demand. All of this coincides with Americans really burned out on globalisim and a push for domestic production of these things.

All of this means that inflation of other currencies will cause even more flight into the American Dollar which will strengthen it more causing this cycle to continue.

>>50399214
This also even if it "peaks" that doesn't mean it will come down. Months of 8% sustained inflation is still extremely bad and it can still go back up. Heck this could only be the "current" peak and we could see 10% in 2023. You wanna see nasty numbers wait until January when everyone broke the bank for Christmas left struggling to pay energy and credit bills. One last thing there is absoulutly nothing to imply inflation has peaked outside of talking heads on CNBC doing the "Wallah just like that inflation has peaked and will never be double digit!"

DXY is not even a good metric for dollar vs other fiat. Really it's just a measure of the US beating on its lackeys. It's strength until it isn't, which is non-linear and very difficult to time precisely, because it's up to sentiment shifts among the real decision makers of the world, which is naturally very opaque to plebs like us.

You hopefully understand US is effectively crushing the global economy by monetary tightening and thus forcing Japan and Yurop to bear most of the brunt of inflation and economic decline, in order to both wield the dollar as a weapon against Russia and show we're still defending our currency and bond market.

The dollar is strong because of TINA, as the dollar shills will surely tell you. What they'll never do is mention that it's own strength will be its demise because of the arrogance of the people controlling it. Nor will they imagine a scenario where suddenly TINA breaks down with the emergence of a true alternative (coming soon courtesy of BRICs), and our allies bail on us because they're sick of the status-quo and want a more multipolar world. There's often merit in what they say about the mechanics of the system as-structured: just be mindful of their politics (US and neolib sympathetic generally) adding bias to their analysis.

Decided to replace the toilet seat in our master bathroom. (Was getting old and worn out). Figured no problem. Just a plain regular toilet. Went to lowes. Got a toilet seat that was the same brand as the toilet, right size, and made of the same type of material as the old one. Installed it.. Fucking seat was to big..Back to lowes I went. Got a refund. Got another toilet seat. This one worked. Different brand. Same shape, color and material. Go figure.. The other one costed me a few bucks more to. Fucking hell. Two trips over a damn toilet seat.

No. Most people have a minimum monthly payment of at least 150. If you miss it for the month it cascades into a bigger problem. Credit cards are a big debt problem but surprisingly it's just people overdrawing their account like tards.
There's a 5 or 32 dollar fee for each over draft. People will withdraw -468 dollars from their account each month and pay it back with their pay check. Thus causes them to lose 32 dollars each time. Very dumb and poorly planned.
An old man wanted his overdraft fee forgiven because he didn't realize he had no money in his account. He ate Krispy cream 3 times that day and overdrafts his account each time getting a 32 dollar fee each time. It wasn't forgiven.

it depends on the stage of the debt, i.e., is it charged off and are you at the point where they filed suit or not. the lowest they'll generally go postsuit is $20.00 a month on the full balance. the amount they'll be okay with depends on the company holding the debt, they have different parameters. You can always claim hardship for a reduced balance but they're not going to let you do a $20/mo on a reduced balance, generally. Some require more hardship info than others, but you can kind of just claim medical issues and they might not be able to look into it out of fear of violating privacy. if its a law firm, ask to speak specifically to an attorney, not a collector. An attorney will want to just settle and often give you the best they can do to get it over with.

Now, the interesting part, is even if the debt is $20k, they could still offer you $20.00 a month on that, strangely. And interest is not accruing while you pay that if its postsuit but prejudgment

Mostly FUD from big banks, and niggers getting liquidated. Liquidation is the biggest source of the correlation >>50400259 mentioned since there's a lot of overlap between semi and crypto investors. Both of them have high tech big growth new thing appeal that gets the leverage monkeys excited, and then when one of their investments goes down and they have to deleverage, they sell whatever else they own.

Bank FUD comes from a combination of farts who don't understand what's actually going on in the semiconductor industry repeating each other, and manipulators trying to drive prices down as much as possible so they can accumulate cheap. Manipulators have their in house analysts post FUD to drive the cycle.

A contributing factor is the important parts of semi manufacturing are expensive and the market is allergic to massive capital investment while interest rates are going up. Before you say this only affects certain companies and is irrelevant to others, that doesn't stop anybody's algorithm from blindly selling the whole sector as a basket.

I have a sinking feeling that America is on a roller coaster to Argentina like hell. Nobody is in control anymore. They continue to spend recklessly. WTF is wrong with these politicians, mentally? None of what they do makes any common sense. Just found out about the student loan forgiveness thing today. My blood pressure went through the roof. I paid my $30K loan. If I had invested in Bitcoin instead during that time (Sam Hyde strat), I could have been a multi millionaire. Instead, I only have 100K saved at the age of 35. I'm completely done with this country! America is capitalism for the needy, socialized bailouts for corporations (like Higher Ed and Chip Makers). Yet, they will not even allow me to be NEET, because NEETs do not have lobbying power.

I'm so committed to getting out. I'm sorry if you get trapped. I will deny the US Govt my tax dollars. I already loaded up a van and drove to a LCOL rural area without state income tax. That's step 1. I found an apartment for $800/mo with washer and dryer in unit, and all the amenities. Inflation no longer effects me like it did in my HCOL state. That's only phase 1 of the escape. My next step is changing my state of residency at work. I have a $140,000 salary from a company in San Francisco, who say I can work from anywhere in the world. Soon I'll have no more state income tax. Fuck NY and CA (my former states). I'm done. After I pare down my belongings to a backpack, I will be moving to Portugal by next year, and renouncing my US citizenship. Not paying federal income tax is a moral imperative.

HEED this warning. You have 1 yil. I don't care what anyone says. Cash is king. There is no reason not to hold it if you are a remote worker capable of geographic price arbitrage. It doesn't affect me at all out here, and it won't affect me in LCOL countries. I will buy the bottom of the market when everyone has sworn off stocks. Good luck. You're NGMI unless you actively try to survive like this.
