I evaluate the stocks based on four categories: Growth, Margins, Valuation, Balance Sheet. In each of those categories I have defined certain criteria for example Growth of revenue and operating income in each specific year, CAGR, if the growth in this year was larger than the one in the previous year etc. I've given every criteria a certain number of points (for example there's a total of 94,4 points in the growth category) and then I normalize them down to 25 points per category so that you get a total number of points of 100 that can be reached. The graph shows the distribution of the total points for every stock that I looked at. I've also looked at the big semi stocks with it but that was a while ago and other sectors. In the japanese small and mid caps you find a bunch of tech companies that have had a good amount of growth the last few years but are valued at 1/4 or less of what american or european companies are valued at.
I usually only invest for the long term and try not to trade, unfortunately I currently don't have any money to buy more stocks so I've put a couple of them on a watchlist to keep track of them.
