I honestly don't get this. From age 18-20 there was this gap in my life where I was unemployed and jobless and I basically a shut in and I fucking hated it. All you have to do to enjoy days off work is to find an excuse to go out more. I bought a Vespa and spend every night just aimlessly driving around because I loved it more than sitting in bed and listening to music. I starting booking for random events I liked the sound of so I had things to do other than working and lazing. Just general shit like that makes your life less boring.

I'm not a wagie, but I have done this occasionally. The way I find to get value out of going out alone is in what is your plan.
-You can go out to some coffee place, sit down with pen and paper, and work on personal projects and ideas, brainstorming, making lists of to do, etc.
-You can take a small drawfag kit in your pack and just draw, practice IRL live illustration, etc.
-You can go, and pick up casual chit-chat conversation with people in surrounding tables or seats. It's all about vibing, being socially calibrated, and being well spoken, so that you are not offending anyone nor are you walking on eggshells either. This can be done to just chat to random people, and you can have different conversations with different people on different areas. You can talk with boomers about the economy, you can flirt with roastinas, etc.
-You can just go and have a tea, glass of wine, or cup of coffee just chilling and stay quiet, using the time to think about stuff, or just relax.
-You can bring a good book to read some, or a workbook to practice a language you are studying, etc.

I hope that gives you some ideas on things you could do

I learnt long back that lots of my friends are lazy and love to talk about what they 'will' do but never actually do it. At some point I realised I have all this shit I want to do that I haven't because I had no one to do it with. So I just started going alone. Most my hobbies I end up chatting with random cunts anyway, it's kind of nice. A little yarn, enjoy my hobby and often never see that person again, or if I do it's at the same place and the same friendly chatter.. It's good to know good people are out there.
I recommend solo travelling. Sometimes frens hold you back, whereas out there on your own you can be who ever you want to be. You'll also meet lots of people to chat with along the way.
