I work at a fortune 500 company and a decision was made in our work which is blatantly unethical and will harm both the public health and myself. My client wanted it addressed, my company doesn't have the resources to address it and stay in budget. Basically I'm fucking retarded and in the middle between middle management, the client, and the regulator. Now my manager is brushing it under the rug and it isn't in any of our required reporting were sending out. I don't wanna go to jail, I don't want to lose what little I have, I don't want my "career" fucked up, and I don't want to liquidate investments to pay the bills.

Please help me with anything you can like personal stories, advice, and maybe some good k*ke employment lawyers who will have my back against a giant evil globohomo corp. At this point I am just not going to respond to my team and stay home. Anyways thanks for any help and god bless.

I have not given this a single thought, please someone give me a quick into while I steer my googling towards this direction. I certainly know the agency to report this to as we have weekly calls with them. How far up in the food chain do I go in the agency? Bosses boss? I will certainly be contacting the EPA over this, I work under CERCLA and this falls under the 30 day statute of limitations. It is on the main page of https://www.whistleblowers.gov under the "Time Limits for Filing a Complaint" expanding info pane halfway down. I just learned last week my bosses are intentionally pushing through our work, the work which I no longer am going to participate in sans calling the EPA over. I have learned from another kid working on the report on a 1-on-1 call that my bosses are not addressing the toxic waste left we left at the site. i was in a similar situation, although with much less pressure (i was a lecturer at a university). unethical behavior was occurring, specifically a violation of HIPPA/FERPA and the Americans with Disabilities Act (related to the way the school's administration was treating students diagnosed with learning disabilities).

all the other teachers knew what was going on, and obviously the admin did too, and everyone stayed quiet so as not to rock the boat. however, i saw how the students were getting screwed over (some of the most hard-working, good-hearted students in the entire school) so made the mistake of protesting. i was reprimanded and put on "probation" so to speak, warned not to make waves again. but then the school doubled down on its unofficial policy of expelling any student diagnosed with learning disabilities (blatantly illegal, also highly unethical) so I protested again and they attempted to sever my contract and put me on unpaid leave.

i basically said, "no, i'm not signing shit, i will retain legal representation, and i would like to go through the appeal process laid out in the employee handbook." the school realized that they were in the wrong (i would have also revealed what i knew about admin/faculty trading grades and favors for sex) and ended up paying me my entire salary.

moral of the story: do what's right, even if it's scary, and things will work out for you in the end.

Unethical does not mean illegal. There are no ethics in business, its about money. Collect evidence and take it home. Don;t tell anyone in the workplace, keep quiet. Casually mention via email your concern about the decisions that concern you and from a business perspective ask how it might affect future profits/growth/customers and maybe the approach my increase profits in the short term but hurt the company in the mid to long term. Don't take a hard position, just analyze the situation and see if the supervisor/manager spells it out for you (fucks themself in writing). The best approach is not to rock the boat, look for a transfer/promotion in the company, or outside the company. Do not be surprised if you do leave its worse than the place you are at now. I have seen major fraud, corruption, incompetence, criminality, retardation, illegal political favors at all five professional jobs I had, and three were government agencies where the fraud was the worst. EPA is completely corrupt, especially the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) - EPA has their own federal agents supposed to investigate environmental crime. A coworker reported major environmental crime to EPA CID. I had some info so CID agent calls me. I interview, law out all the fraud, show documents, and the consultant committing the fraud was bragging about it. What did CID do? They buried it and did everything possible to keep it buried. About six months later FBI raids our office. Interviews everyone. I layout again all the facts and evidence and hand the FBI the business card of the CID fag I spoke to. FBI wa stunned. About two months later FBI called to tell me they verified my story and they found out the CID was hiding all the evidence to bury the case. You can't trust any law enforcement, ever. You have to look out for yourself. Collect your evidence, take it home, keep quiet, and just move on somewhere else.
