Every downturn there will be lots of FUD, so that people can accumulate cheaply. But sometimes the FUD is not made up, sometimes it is real. I think BTC is subject to a real risk this cycle. Remember how quickly Luna/UST went to $0? Nothing here is too big too fail and every Bitcoin maxi will be cocky until the second shit goes down for real and then they'll all run around "I never said it's risk free" etc etc. If something serious hits BTC it will be exactly the same.

Just some thoughts for you to dwell on:
- Bitcoin Whitepaper released Oct 2008
- almost 14 years later the system scales nowhere near existing systems used in traditional banking, even tho SN promised Visa could be replaced then and there
- ETH did essentially a crowdsale to finance development towards Eth2 in July 2015
- previous cycle Vitalik bitched how it's ridiculous BTC is so expensive to transact on
- now Eth is also expensive as fuck
- Eth2 so far does not solve this issue after 7 years of development

Clearly something weird is going on. The tech was supposed to be *much* more than what it currently is. How many more years of this slow progress are we willing to accept? Will they ever fix it if they couldn't after 14 / 7 years respectively? Magic solution always around the corner?

I am deeply distrustful of this situation.

bringing up luna/ust makes you look retarded. algo stablecoins have always crashed to 0. eth/btc are not algo coins that can print infinite amounts of their supply at the drop of a hat

BTC is literally completely riskless given you don't sell

At some point in the last two years the dumb money narrative on Bitcoin and crypto as a whole was that it “cycles” and that it doesn’t matter when you buy in, you just have to wait until the next cycle because then you’ll be rich.

Then of course we saw Bitcoin go below its previous ATH for the first time ever, the “cycle strength” was lower than ever, and we are seeing all sorts of things that were considered “mathematically impossible” (lmfao) happen. So it wouldn’t surprise me at all if 5 years from now the Bitcoin ATH was still the one in 2021, despite a new “halvening”.

btc and eth are outdated shit protocols at this point but there will always be opportunities to make money off of this shit because most retail investors are mouth breathing greedy retards.
they will always forget about the crashes and will always buy when it pumps because "its different this time".

Sorry Anon. I don't really have the answers. I just think these questions are kind of important. It's unreal that Bitcoin was released 14 years ago already, don't you think?

>i will get rich shorting this shit to zero
Godspeed Anon, be careful of the liquidation engine...
>>50287753
>bringing up luna/ust makes you look retarded
It's an example of how arrogant and delusional many crypto people are. Now look onwards at Celsius, BlockFi, 3AC, Voyager... and I think there's more, no?
>>50287790
>BTC is literally completely riskless given you don't sell
Yeah that's what people keep saying, but if it doesn't become a better system at some point won't we have to beware the tulip mania fags at some point?
>>50289068
>now this... this is some good FUD
It is, isn't it? But all it is are simple statements of fact. As I said above, unreal that it's been 14 years already, no?
>>50289135
Hm yeah, it has been kind of a weak cycle, given the money printing and inflation...
>>50289814
Maybe you are right. So far the tech hasn't delivered and it didn't matter, but wouldn't there be sort of a timer on how that can go on for?
