Will BTC still be around after 10-20 years? I think BTC will be a thing even after 30-40 years. But I'm not sure about 100+ years.

Kevin O'leary mentioned some prince that would eventually allocate 1-3% of some treasury or some shit into btc and that it would pump btc to like 300k btc overnight. They just need more regulations or someshit in place. I don't care how long it lasts. Fact is crypto has much more to go.

It will probably be successfully forked at some point to PoS and/or less deflationary supply curve.

It's really doubtful maxipads will ever let it fork, even if it got flipped.

It will be absorbed into banks and the establishment, and once the wild pumps go away, ppl will move on. Internet money? Never, that's what Monero is for.

10 years is the new 1000 years when you factor in the exponential increase of everything.
Terrible pic related, cringey even.

pos is a plutocratic scam, pow has a pure reason to axist and it's pure fud that it's "just lost energy.
that "lost" energy is extremely valuable; it proves you worked for the security of the system; if you "prove" it only by staking it means only the big fish can "guarantee" its security that exactly not what was designed to do.

BTC will survive and be wrapped and moved on all the various smart contract platforms. As ETH faces more competition from other L1s in the next decade BTC (and its wrapped versions) will be a better neutral place to store funds as L1 dominance will be way less certain.
All L1s will have wrapped/pegged BTC support and large value will be moved between them in the form of BTC (and stables)

That's stupid, the miners and node operators would just say "lol no". PoS is a completely unworkable model.

As for security without tail emission, I'm betting the banks or large agencies will just run miners, not for block rewards, but to secure their hoard.
